When I was at session yesterday I think I may have caught on to something. I realized that my Therapist was continually trying to cover her chest up with a cover up sweater that she had. I was thinking that maybe she thinks that I have been trying to look down her shirt at sessions as of lately, although I would say that I really haven't. My Therapist has a fairly good sized chest but not very large sized, but I wonder what her thinking might be.

It could have been.

I will have to see what she does a few months from now when the weather is warmer.

Sometimes I find I have misjudged how good my top is at staying up when I actually have to wear it for hours a day and then I have to keep pulling it up all day long (I interact with students so I need to be appropriately dressed).

On the other hand part of my acting out my transference involves wearing the very same tops to therapy.

She might be cold especially if she was indoors for a long time. I know I often dress for outside but not for inside so I might be fine walking outside in a Tshirt but being in an air conditioned room for 6 hours I freeze!

Now that is interesting

Seriously though I had not thought about acting out transference before, just thinking and feeling.

Oh gosh, just thinking and feeling! I think the whole week and then the morning of about what I will wear, it takes me between 3-4 hours to get ready (make sure to go for a run that day, make sure to shave legs, shower, floss, brush teeth, make sure my hair is how I want by conditioning with a special product, wear nice underwear, clothes how I want, check mirror minutely...). Looking at what I wrote, it sounds exhausting.

Maybe you could ask her and say you wondered if for some reason she was uncomfortable and you weren't sure if it had to do with you.

Maybe if it starts to be a constant thing then maybe I'd be suspicious.

Yeah, that sounds reasonable.
Thanks for this!
