Hi,

I lived an isolated life for a long time. I found non-verbal ways of getting by in society. That worked so-so for a while and then I crashed pretty badly.

I can't say everyone is supportive, but some people have helped me enormously with their thoughts and as examples of how to live and think.

Some jobs, even though they were difficult, had employees or bosses that had usefull advice for me also. They, many times, inspired me just because they could survive, and thrive, under difficult circumstances.

I utilize all tools that work and I don't discriminate as far as "what works" If it works, I use it. Substances, however, I've learned to stay away from. Other peoples opinions, also, I am skeptical about. I don't think it is healthy to trust everyone blindly.

Thanks for reading!

Peace, A.

Good post. I, too, isolated for about 5 years before coming to PC (8 years ago) to try and relearn social skills. Not much worked IRL though. And, last year, I tried to succumb to the isolation lifestyle once again. Finding it unsuitable, I'm trying again, as you have, to see what works and to dismiss the rest as superfluous in my life.

Be well.
