when i talk to others it's not liek they understand me. i tell them something but they won't listen to me and feel sorry for me. i'm not trying to gain people's sympathy but it's just that i wish people had more of a heart. i never knew that this day would come when i feel like i've been brought so low.

I think God can be a last resort for many people. I came to that point myself. God has proven to me what is real. Try loving God first, if at first you dont feel Gods love. You're tapping into something new and re-birthing and you could start the connection today.

Im sorry if I confused you above and hope this doesnt confuse also.
Thanks for this!

it's easy for me to lose faith. when things get worse, i just want to give up faith so that the world can accept me. a lot of my fellow catholic and christian classmates hardly pray and others come to them. I think prayer is the reason why most people have stayed away from me. of course, i don't pray in public but i have done so privately. it's like others wear a crucifix or a cross around their neck and don't pray and still have sufficient friendship, whereas i have practiced the faith and have not felt the same. i feel discouraged. i feel like if they can just be religious on sundays then why not let me be the same?

i feel like when others pray, God listens to them. when i pray it seems like it doesn't really work. sometimes you pray for something and when you don't receive it, you become disappointed. that's me.

besides once i start praying late at night i can't get to sleep. it's weird, and i have tried to pray myself to sleep but instead i became more alert and awake.

yeah and nonchristians treat them perfectly fine. i am treated much worse. i am not being treated with respect i am eyed with suspicion. even when i talk about christianity with my catholic and christian acquaintances(some know that i am, some don't) they eye me with suspicion. like is this catholic or christian? why does he talk about it sometimes?

Its only my opinion but I think you are uniquely who you are. Being unique is something good. Others are doing things that you are letting affect how you think of society and the world as a whole. You are internally fighting back against non acceptance. I see that as a positive.

sometimes i wonder if i'm bad luck to people because once i start talking to them a few times they ignore me the next time around just like some of psychcentral members have done so to me. i'm kind of bummed out.this happens in real life too sometimes.

The people in relationship forum know about building relationships. I think its very possible for you. It depends on your approach, the time, the place. You want to just be you so, be you. Dont be anyone else. Be friendly. Not foolishly friendly, but get your brother and sisters backs if you know the saying.

the time the place? i just go on and say it whenever i feel like it. i don't know when you guys are bummed out or anything like that. so if i come on and say something at the wrong time and place, then that means i've just hurt your feelings? however, i don't know how you're feeling, so you can't really blame me.

You havent done anything, my feelings arent hurt. I was referring to when you go outside to make friends, you choose a time, a place, a way to dress maybe, idk if you come your hair, idk. I didnt mean friends here but it looks like you did. I'll be your friend. I was just hanging out here reading posts and I like talking to you.

Thank you, sorry for the late reply everyone. Yes I am not that religious, I consider myself a Deist which means I believe in God but not in Organized religion and don't thing He really intervenes with the universe, He only deals with the departed souls I think. I feel like I have nothing but bad luck and like some of you, when I talk to some people for a bit, they abruptly ignore me, that's why I feel like there is something wrong with me.

Its difficult when we're different LR. Dont give up. It really is the road less traveled to follow your own spirit and it can be a solitary journey at times. If you can remain true to your faith, your faith will remain true to you!
Thanks for this!

I am sorry for letting out my angry feelings on this site about the past. Instead of letting go, I held onto the past. May you all forgive me.

So, Catholics aren't Christians? How do you come up with this? Please explain how Catholics are not Christians? Do they not believe in Christ?

He/She/It/We/They may absolutely piss me off sometimes ...

But I do believe.

Hello LR15,
I am a true believer in God as well. He has been with me since the day I was born - through all my good and bad choices. God Bless you LR15 for starting this thread.
