Thank you so much, it's been hard for me to believe in anything lately, but I also know that looking at the world with absence of spiritual feelings is impossible to make it.

RIGHT ON. Well ...

</font><blockquote><div id="quote"><font class="small">Quote:</font>
1: of, relating to, consisting of, or affecting the spirit : incorporeal
2: of or relating to sacred matters

Religion, on the other hand, is a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices.

So this forum's main focus is to talk about spirituality, not specific religions.

</div></font></blockquote><font class="post">

Being inhabited has to do with the non-corporeal
It bes not limited to one specific religion -- all religions in fact or spiritual traditions acknowledge that this happens to people
So nobody ever better try to shut Malady down AGAIN. Or it bes comesy for you humans ..... *snarl* Welcome!

IMO - the only thing that can heal you without any person or medicine is praying. Whatever religion you belong to you can contact with God.

It is my firm belief that to be well, it is important to take care of the whole self. To care for the self includes caring for the physical, mental, emotional and the spiritual parts of the self. By taking care of each of these parts of our selves, we do the least amount necessary to ensure our optimal health. And that is our obligation to our Maker.

Peace!

<font color="darkblue"> Another excellent move, DocJohn! Welcome!

The evidence of faith in our lives permeates into even the mental unwellness we experience. Unfortunately, many of us "lose" faith depending upon the severity of our illnesses. This doesn't mean we don't need to regain it; We do. But it appears to need to be reframed as the old definition and context no longer work for us.

I believe most of my own difficulties lie in the "fact" that I am a Spiritual Being trying to live a Physical Existence.

This so beautifully expressed JD

I'm glad doc john created this sub-forum. Indeed, coming to terms with one's own world-view or paradigm on existence, their purpose, their spirituality is really important.

I also had a big problem as my own religion was shaken away through my experiences & books that I read. But I found great solace & serenity as I gradually created my own spiritual values & world-view, & found my cosmic purpose Like you say JD, we have to reformat our world-story, faith, & spirituality when our context & old definitions no longer work... this is evolution

And yes, we're essentially spiritual, emotional beings struggling through physical existence, trying to physically uncondition ourselves to become eternal wholes, fully perceiving the "Universal Whole Being / God" that integrates us...

Thank you, Doc, for considering this as an essential part of the healing process for many of us here.

This is fabulous! Now I do not have to feel like I need to be a closet Christian! Yay! It is such a BIG part of my healing process. Actually, my faith is the only part of my recovery process that works consistently - when I let it, of course!

God Bless!

:-)

To foster a place where

Christians
Catholics
Protestants
Buddists
Hindus
Muslims
Spiritualists
Witches
Jews
Mystics
etc...

Can co-exist.

:-)

Fairly tricky.

Up to you guys, I guess.

P.S. I won't inundate the boards with the church of the flying spaghetti monster: http://www.venganza.org/

Or the church of virus: http://www.churchofvirus.org/

I promise...

(Though of course the million dollar question is WWFSMD?? AKA: what would flying spaghetti monster do?)

?
