I think part of it is a cumulative thing? Reading my response now gives "3" view "points" because of your original view and SeptemberMorn's response as well as mine now. So, the "views" mount up faster the more responses you have. We'll only grow by 3 (since it can't be said which of our posts someone is reading/viewing) but the threads with more responses get that many more "views". So, as many people may have "viewed" the request for prayer (and I don't know that I'd ever post a response, I just start praying if someone asks me for prayer :-) as "view" the other but because more people also answered, the view feature multiplies faster. It's probably a bit more complicated than the hash I'm making of it here (people probably have to scroll down through views to get a view count to go up so if you only look at page 3, for example, of a 5 page thread, then only the number of posts on 3 would "count") but maybe you get the gist?

Anyway, in my little world :-) I like to think it's that way, that people are concerned and read the prayer requests.
