you all know that my neighbor passed away two weeks ago. Well her husband is having a hard time adjusting to this new life without her! i am just asking for prayers for him and the kids! I feel sorry for them. They are doing ok, but they are struggling.

He and the kids are in my prayers, Mel.
You're a good one for finding help for others. Is there anything you can do for him? Is anyone still seeing to his and the kids physical needs like food and cleaning the house? If you could find a way to get him help that way, he'd have time to mourn.

i am helping them as much as possible.. i am picking the kids up from after school care and have been fixing them dinner.. like tonight i am fixing porkchops...lol

i would help clean house but he is a neat freak and well he spent all weekend cleaning and rearranging the house.. lol.. he has too much pent up energy!

What a good friend you are... maybe you can get him OUT of the house doing something? The first year after a spouse's death is crucial for the widow(er) to remain engaged in society, otherwise, they usually die also. TC of yourself.

my hubby and son are going with him and his son camping next weekend for a boys only camping trip! I think it will be great for all four of them to get out and enjoy the outdoors!!!

If he was involved in the care of his wife, I can certainly relate! He's got a big, gaping hole of time now.
It's wonderful that the four guys are getting out! You guys are such wonderful friends! Hey... can I move in next door to you? LOL

in fact tomi there is a little one bedroom four room house for rent behind me for like 75.00 a month! bring it on.....
yes for the last month of her life he was working out of the house and taking care of her since she was unable to walk or anything without help! it is sooo hard to watch a heathly 30-something year old woman go down hill like she did!!! i am still having a tough time dealing with it myself, but i know time will heal all wounds!
