i would love to see a spritual chat room would any others i need to contact kimmy dawn not sure how yet but i know i have had trouble and a spritual chat room would be great can i get some feedback on this

Sounds like a great idea, as long as everyone used it for support only and not for arguing over religion.

WOW The site is having trouble keeping this forum from straying... I daresay in a chat room there would be more opportunities to "not argue" what others believe... if you get my drift... not for me... I have been in Christian sites/chat rooms and behave quite nicely... and the sites have all types of religious ppl come in and wish to just talk about things...
How on earth would this be monitored? I can't see it either. We can always go make our own private chat room and discuss anything we wish (as long as it isn't planning illegal events etc) I would like to see THIS be successful before getting a regular chat room for it.

Then why don't we just schedule a few times to try and remember and go create a spirituality chat/room... and see who all can make it?
What time every night or what days and hours should we try and see how many of us can remember and be there?

Why don't ya'll visit other online Spirituality chat rooms and see how THEY go! If you ask me, ya'll are aching for a good ole knock down, drag out. "Spiritual people" act anything but Spiritual in these chat rooms.
It's hard keeping the peace here as it is.

Yep that's true at times... depends upon the level of spirituality each person is at I guess
 Maybe if we made our own agreed upon chat guidelines first... of course, anyone who creates the room is allowed to also create any rules  Maybe just begin by chatting with quotes of whatever Good Book each person uses... with any applicable thoughts for oneself? IDK if it would work...but I'm not going to totally diss it.. .if others really need it, you know? It COULD be a good thing...if it works...

Good point, Sky. It could be a good thing. It is just not in my nature to think about the positive aspects first.
Actually, I would NEVER think of the positives - it is only when I am confronted to, that I will. How sad, eh? (still don't think it will work though...what progress!)

I think the chat would be a good trainer in the use of "I" statements. So even if we were to discuss, for example, our feelings about the Resurrection, it would all be, "I feel" "I think" " It affects Me this way." THEN if we can keep from remarking negatively about someone elses comment (don't say, Well I don't think that it affects me that way... etc) things might just work We could do topics... of course... wait... it would still have to be off the cuff though. <center>  </center>

I have found one or two that are mostly gospel music and prayers and is wonderful...I go to the gospel room for "attitude adjustments" and it works every time ..  . I have also been to a few spirituality chat rooms that were just awful.. I think a spiritual chat room at PC would be coooooool. wish PC would go "voice chat"... not that i would ever talk on a mic.. but i do like hearing others talk or sing .. |

Yes I have been (and am still a member of) several other "religious" chat rooms... including a prayer room only... there is no way to control any particular person in any of the formats, btw... but I always seemed to garner more than if I had not gone.
I know it's been said, and I believe it at times to be so true, that Christians (I can speak from this viewpoint as I am one).. Christians are the only army that shoot it's wounded in the back. When it comes to mental health issues, many good, God fearing people simply do not understand. I think added to PC, with the understanding of basic mental illness and how it affects a person's spirit, a regular type chat would be a success.

What would be cool is the spiritual chat room with voice... Gosh we could play gospel/christian music and chat...

I too have to agree with some of the others on this one.... for:
I would probably stay away from the Spiritual Chat Room, for I personally do not see this happening with out arguing taking place among a few.... its just the way I see it - SORRY!! BUT - I would probably go for a Private Chat with a few folks on Spirituality - if the room was password protected. |
