Sorry didn't mean to make your fault. Was trying to encourage you to try something else.

I often have to force myself to live in the present as i get caught up in the what if's of the future and the forces of the past. its hard to do because of such a horrible life i've had i think.

This is just my personal experience, ennui. ... nothing more. However, it has been my experience that, when I am truly in the present moment, there is nothing but the present moment.

I agree.. it isn't one's fault or not that one needs to focus upon... and the idea of "fault" shouldn't be in mind at all.

But it is each person's individual choice as to how they live today... regarding mindset. It's up to ME to keep my mind on things present that are good. And yes, the present is just that: whatever is happening right now... RIGHT NOW... I am writing a post, sitting at my computer on my desk... the dog sleeping and the clock ticking... RIGHT NOW you are reading this post, sitting, standing, walking... that's it. RIGHT NOW is good... as I think about words to say to try and encourage you and not let you feel put upon.

Life can be very hard. I think most of us can share this, specifically, but I know that isn't what you need to hear, nor want to hear... I understand that your life has been miserably "bad" in the past... IN THE PAST. Does it continue? Are the sufferings you have experienced continue to today? If so, I feel for you (and I fully understand)... many of mine do continue... but it's my choice as to whether to let them defeat me by commandeering all my thinking and making me dwell on the bad... or to rise above and say, you know? Right now I'm ok.
