yah, this is soooo ME right now~
![]() ![]() The figure in this card has taken on the shape of an arrow, moving with the single-pointed focus of one who knows precisely where he is going. He is moving so fast that he has become almost pure energy. But his intensity should not be mistaken for the manic energy that makes people drive their cars at top speed to get from point A to point B. That kind of intensity belongs to the horizontal world of space and time. The intensity represented by the Knight of Fire belongs to the vertical world of the present moment - a recognition that now is the only moment there is, and here is the only space. When you act with the intensity of the Knight of Fire it is likely to create ripples in the waters around you. Some will feel uplifted and refreshed by your presence, others may feel threatened or annoyed. But the opinions of others matter little; nothing can hold you back right now.

![]() When there is no "significant other" in our lives we can either be lonely, or enjoy the freedom that solitude brings. When we find no support among others for our deeply felt truths, we can either feel isolated and bitter, or celebrate the fact that our vision is strong enough even to survive the powerful human need for the approval of family, friends or colleagues. If you are facing such a situation now, be aware of how you are choosing to view your "aloneness" and take responsibility for the choice you have made. The humble figure in this card glows with a light that emanates from within. One of Gautam Buddha's most significant contributions to the spiritual life of humankind was to insist to his disciples, "Be a light unto yourself." Ultimately, each of us must develop within ourselves the capacity to make our way through the darkness without any companions, maps or guide.] Zen Tarot | OSHO | Meditation - Mindfulness and the Science of the Inner

![]() [Who ever told you that the bamboo is more beautiful than the oak, or the oak more valuable than the bamboo? Do you think the oak wishes it had a hollow trunk like this bamboo? Does the bamboo feel jealous of the oak because it is bigger and its leaves change color in the fall? The very idea of the two trees comparing themselves to each other seems ridiculous, but we humans seem to find this habit very hard to break. Let's face it, there is always going to be somebody who is more beautiful, more talented, stronger, more intelligent, or apparently happier than you are. And conversely, there will always be those who are less than you in all these ways. The way to find out who you are is not by comparing yourself with others, but by looking to see whether you are fulfilling your own potential in the best way you know how.]

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [The central figure in this card sits atop the vast flower of the void, and holds the symbols of transformation - the sword that cuts through illusion, the snake that rejuvenates itself by shedding its skin, the broken chain of limitations, and the yin/yang symbol of transcending duality. One of its hands rests on its lap, open and receptive. The other reaches down to touch the mouth of a sleeping face, symbolizing the silence that comes when we are at rest. This is a time for a deep let-go. Allow any pain, sorrow, or difficulty just to be there, accepting its "facticity." It is very much like the experience of Gautam Buddha when, after years of seeking, he finally gave up, knowing there was nothing more that he could do. That very night, he became enlightened. Transformation comes, like death, in its own time. And, like death, it takes you from one dimension into another.] may you have transformation, and the causes of transformation~!

this deck just never ceases to amaze me, with its timely messages and on-target topic~!
![]() "The Source" [When we speak of being "grounded" or "centered" it is this Source we are talking about. When we begin a creative project, it is this Source that we tune in to. This card reminds us that there is a vast reservoir of energy available to us. And that we tap into it not by thinking and planning but by getting grounded, centered, and silent enough to be in contact with the Source. It is within each of us, like a personal, individual sun giving us life and nourishment. Pure energy, pulsating, available, it is ready to give us anything we need to accomplish something, and ready to welcome us back home when we want to rest. So whether you are beginning something new and need inspiration right now, or you've just finished something and want to rest, go to the Source. It's always waiting for you, and you don't even have to step out of your house to find it.] Zen Tarot | OSHO | Meditation - Mindfulness and the Science of the Inner

the Sheep that Roared~
![]() ![]() "Conditioning" [This card recalls an old Zen story, about a lion who was brought up by sheep and who thought he was a sheep until an old lion captured him and took him to a pond, where he showed him his own reflection. Many of us are like this lion - the image we have of ourselves comes not from our own direct experience but from the opinions of others. A "personality" imposed from the outside replaces the individuality that could have grown from within. We become just another sheep in the herd, unable to move freely and unconscious of our own true identity. It's time to take a look at your own reflection in the pond, and make a move to break out of whatever you have been conditioned by others to believe about yourself. Dance, run, jog, do gibberish - whatever is needed to wake up the sleeping lion within.]

i do hope there is some truth to this card... i'm so tired of life as it has been lived for a long time now.
![]() "Completion" [Here, the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle is being put into its place, the position of the third eye, the place of inner perception. Even in the ever-changing flow of life there are moments in which we come to a point of completion. In these moments we are able to perceive the whole picture, the composite of all the small pieces that have occupied our attention for so long. In the finishing, we can either be in despair because we don't want the situation to come to an end, or we can be grateful and accepting of the fact that life is full of endings and new beginnings. Whatever has been absorbing your time and energy is now coming to an end. In completing it, you will be clearing the space for something new to begin. Use this interval to celebrate both - the end of the old and the coming of the new.] Zen Tarot | OSHO | Meditation - Mindfulness and the Science of the Inner

I have a collection of tarot cards. I placed them in an old silver chest . It is lined with red velvet. I am using the Crystal Visions Tarot now. It is a pretty fantasy deck but don't be fooled; he readings it gives are very accurrate. I am also working with Tart of the Sweet Twilight and Tarot of the Old Path.
I'm a collecter and a reader. I read only for myself in a pathworking intuitive aspect. I have about 20 decks. |

I'm new to tarot, never done it before, but was looking for some comfort and so gave the sites linked in this thread a try. One is pretty easy to understand, another is very complicated for someone not knowing tarot at all, and so is another. All 3 sites have oddly given me similar messages. I have a couple concerns though about two cards I got on the native American site. I'm unsure how to relate to these cards, but I feel it's important that I understand whatever message they are trying to get across to me. They're the only two cards that aren't positive or neutral as well, so it's a bit concerning.
Would anyone be willing to help me with this via PM?

personally, i find that meditating on a single card yields more insight than a 'spread' of cards and houses and layouts, etc...

I have three tarot decks and two oracle decks. My very first deck was the Druid Animal Oracle. I bought it back in the 90s and used it a lot in my 20s while I was exploring the beliefs behind it. Then I didn't use it for a long, long time, until about three years ago.
That led me to get Bird Cards and the Animal Totem Tarot. In retrospect, the Animal Totem Tarot might not have been the best choice for my first tarot deck, but I was getting so much from meditating on animals and animal behavior, so that appealed to me. I didn't--and still don't--really consider the tarot angle of that deck as much as the animal angle when I use it. About a year ago I bought the Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot (the one in the little tin) so I could learn the basics of tarot, and the Star Tarot, which is hands-down the most beautiful deck I have ever seen. I can't rave about the artwork enough. It's also multi-racial and multi-cultural, which I like. I keep a hand-written journal with spreads I've done, and I'm planning to create a blog about tarot, but it's still in the concept stage and I'm not sure what kind of angle to take. Personal journey makes the most sense given my experience, but I'm not sure anyone would be interested in reading that. It seems most tarot blogs out there are "how-to," and I'm definitely not experienced enough for that. It has been a fun, insightful journey, though. Just looking at the cards fascinates me. It's art you can hold in your hand. |

Hi new friends -
I love Tarot! I've been reading, collecting, studying, meditating, and healing myself with Tarot for a few years now. It's a spiritual discipline and a hobby, and until recently a solo journey. I just joined a Tarot forum which has added whole new dimensions of learning, community and fun to my practice. A few days ago I ordered my 96th deck - the elegantly beautiful Antique Anatomy Ephemera deck by Claire Goodchild at Black and the Moon. I'm on an austerity budget right now, and as a carrot I promised myself the treat of a new deck when I reached my first goal! Yay Grandma! Grandma |

Hello! I am a psychic intuitive and medium. I use a tarot program called Galaxy Tarot on my phone but my heavy Pisces chart does not allow me to connect with physical objects for divination. I have tried over and over. I know some amazing tarot readers and wish that Spirit worked that way for me. Alas..... Welcome spirit sisters!!

Hello there! I am a tarot reader as well. My question to you is, what relationship do you have with your cards? Do you think that you can create your own definition for the cards based off of what you are seeing?
