This is so painful! I've been suffering for years with no answer. Does anyone know any forum that is open and accepting everyone where I could ask for help? I prefer a group for mystical Christianity (preferably "liberal" catholic or orthodox) that isn't judgemental to some parapsychogical phenomena.
Otherwise I would truly appreciate at least some hugs and empathy because this is something that causes me serious distress and there's nowhere I can get help.

Hang in there. Maybe it's just a big misunderstanding. Pc folklore has it that this forum used to get ...well...'rowdy' for lack of any other word.

Maybe things just brought back old memories? Of pain and heartache?? I don't know 'twas before my time...

Thank you so much healing4me!
Yes, it brought up my thoughts, which aren't even that old. It's something I'm struggling with permanently. It just reminded me it's impossible to find a place for normal discussion of topics that bother me and that's its highly improbable I'll ever find support anywhere.

It would be a waste of time to edit my problem without being able to describe the issue and then getting only vague, politically correct and "positive" but empty replies.
And that's very sad for me. Well that's my cross I have to carry. That's life.
Thanks for this!

Oh I see. It's a more general and long term frustration.

I'm so sorry. I understand the confusion and frustration, as it seems that religion can be a type of spirituality, and while the umbrella term can be discussed, one of its underlying subtypes cannot. I think there's a thread called "At Jesus' Feet". I dunno its rules, though. Maybe you could ask around and see if someone wants to PM about the topic with you?

There's also a "Things that matter" social group which says:
General
Things That Matter
This is a place to discuss things that are important to us, but are too controversial for the general forums. Different opinions, as long as discussed in civil matter, are welcomed. If you are easily triggered, this may not be place to you. Yes, some things said here are controversial and challenging point of view is appreciatee as long as it is not in the area of hate speech. I will absolutelly NOT tolerate smear attacks against race, religion, nations, sexual orientation... so on. Supremacism of any kind is not welcomed here... there are other places on the internets for that.

Thank you so much for your helpful suggestions, Meow! I'll look at the second forum you suggested. I'll read what kind of topics are discussed there and maybe will try to phrase my problem... If it's even possible to describe it in words... Anyway, I TRULY appreciate any kind of empathic reply from you guys, as my biggest problem is feeling totally alone with this problem. Just knowing someone took their time and replied is very encouraging.

And of course, I'd be glad if someone wants to PM me... Mainly looking for someone who is interested in Christian mysticism (no offense but I'm not interested in evangelical approach, I'd rather talk to a more open minded Christian, mainly open minded Catholic or Orthodox). I became a catholic in adulthood bars on my own experience, it wasn't something I grew up in.

Another option would be someone with interest in aliens and walk-ins however I myself am rather sceptical to most widespread new age culture. I hate fake positivity. I'm more a rational and down to earth type of person with some scary experiences with meditation and chakra work. So I'm absolutely not interested in working with those things. However for some reason, I've had some experiences with "energies" and parapsychogical phenomena that came naturally to me, without any effort on my side. I've had this since my childhood, including "visions" about previous life in another place in the universe. But again, most resources about "Starseeds" seem quite exaggerated to me and I don't believe in channelling. To be honest many websites and videos about the topic make me genuinely anxious and scared. So I don't even fit that community...

My main feelings about religion and spirituality are confusion, fear, anxiety, scepticism, need for rational and logical approach. In the positive side, I'm extremely immune to manipulation of any kind :-)

If there's a person who hasn't been put off and discouraged by my picky demands, I'll be happy to receive a PM from you.

Hi seeker33,

I know it can be confusing at times between spirituality and religion. We can certainly mention God here because God is a central belief in many many religions (not all of course). What we cannot discuss is Jesus, Buddha, the Bible or any other religious writing. Specific quotes from the Bible or other religious writing is not allowed either.

Unfortunately there was a time when we had huge upsets in this forum because some members thought they could push their religious beliefs & doctrine on other members. It got to the point where we had to make the change to keep this forum open for those who wished to ask for prayers (which is fine) and those who wanted to discuss spirituality. Spirituality can come from whatever one feels connected with, it doesn't have to be about anything religious.

You have received some help here so at this time, I'm going to close this thread.

If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me or anyone on the Community Support Team.

Thanks
