Mom is being discharged tomorrow(Saturday) and I need to go there today and make sure things are squared away. While this is good news, I'm concerned it's too soon. Doesn't matter.

Please continue to pray for her. She is being given a companion wheelchair so I can push her on longer activities. Mother I can't push her at all, she needs to be able to walk with her walker! And for long activities, she has a motorized wheelchair. Mother I don't know if I am the only one that's going to be here to take her home and get her settled in. I really need my sister to do all that. However, my sister, though she is older, won't do the paperwork in any fashion, as she says that's my job. Mother I need strength to get through this.

I really thought I would be able to rest now that the Orange Bowl volunteering is done for a bit. But now with this, I am again just pushing... my body is beginning to push back, you know?

Ok, all will work out. Just need to not be worse for the wear.

Thanks to all who are continuing to pray about Mom and this situation. Mother

Sky

I don't usually post on a prayer request, but I do pray for people requesting prayer. I just wanted to let you know I understand the strain of being a sole caregiver while being in pain as well. I pray for you both.

Oh my. I just called Mom's to see if she was home yet. Yes, and she's been stuck in the wheelchair since they delivered her there. She can't push herself up out of the wheelchair to get into a chair or go to the bathroom or get into bed or even to use her walker.

That is the wheelchair I didn't want them to send her with in the first place (read I told them so?)

I can't do anything. I told her to try and get into bed first, and then use the walker to get up and out of it. Hopefully once she gets out (whether she has to call fire rescue or not to do it) she won't get back into it!

I called my nurse sister in Tampa and left a message. I mean, no reason to be worrying about mom alone, right? Mother

Thank you all again for reading and praying.

I hadn't been able to call or go to Mom's. (I'm in a pain flare myself.) But my sister (from Tampa) called..she's AT mom's! Mother IDK if it's God or her own guilt that motivates her at times (only those times it's not inconvenient) but I'm glad she's here. It's always difficult for me, as she only hears negative from Mom about me, and never anything positive, but I know differently. The only reason my sis called was they wondered what I had done with Mom's medicines. Mother Nothing. Mother Oh well. I must take the remainder of mom's things that I transported to and from rehab for her, to her tomorrow. At least my sis will be there and might help me do that (trunk of car to mom.) I supposed mom is doing well. A lady goes in at 10:30 am to assist her. This is really good as mom had succumbed to sleeping all day and shopping online all night. Mother

I am posting this so that others can realize that we all have challenges of daily living, and none of us are excluded from the problems that "family" cause us to endure. Mother It's so you can see God working, live. Mother
