After almost three weeks (then several incidents prior that weakened his little immune system), Johnathon is doing VERY well.

He had his breathing treatments yesterday even though he really didn't need them and HIS APPETITE IS BACK!!! Voracious and healthy...trying to make up.

He even slept in his crib all night after having to sleep with mommy (so she could watch him but also because he was so sick and restless) for 7 1/2 hours after eating cereal and formula!!!

He's turning the corner to well.

Now, we know the ear infections still aren't gone and worry about those coming back on him before he can get into the ENT for tubes, so please keep that in your prayers...that they don't.

That bronchiolitis was just so very horrible and hard on him...so very scary. IT'S OVER!

Thank you all for your prayers and I would like to make this praise thread to state our blessings!!!

KD

Glad to hear his recovery is going smoothly and that he is feeling better. i will keep you both in my prayers, as he continues to heal. I suffer from ear infections as well so I understand that pain and torment first hand. But mom's needs prayer too. Just to have the engery to keep up with everything else and care for her sick child too. So the prayers will continue until Johnathon is completely healed.

Thank you (((((((((( everyone )))))))))))

No matter your specific "belief system", please don't hesitate to add your thanks here for anything you might be thankful for today.

There are too many for me to list all...

My friends here
My life's mission and being able to do it
My daughter's health and happiness
My grandboy's healing
My big girl settling into being a mommy so well
My youngest grandboy's thriving since the milk allergy was found
My husband's strong love
My friends that gather round me in prayer and meditations
My boy's health and happiness
My membership here at PC and what that means to me daily

Those are just a drop in the bucket!!!

Share with me in giving specific thanks so that we can celebrate with you???

Maybe this is something we could do daily, or regularly, to be able to see the positive, good when we feel so badly sometimes...on good days, just to share our happiness and blessings?

My growing ability to change...my lessening fear of it and the priceless benefits from experiencing "it".

Wow, what an great thanks...insightful and brave!

Thank you so much for sharing that. Thank you so much for the bravery it took to allow for such change to give thanks for!

So many things that others might take for granted, some of us realize as HUGE blessings. I understand so much your statement because I went through that same period and continually do...change being a huge issue for me. As you, though, goodness what benefits might be found if we can acknowledge them.

Bravo to you for those acknowledgments.

Another doctor told me today that he saw still another doctor (who is a "Top Doc" in the nation) who he nor I had seen in a few years, had asked about ME, by name! When I opened an email today and received this, I thought about how true!

This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror
where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.

1. There are at least two people in this world
that you would die for.

2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you
is because they want to be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't like you.

5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. You are special and unique.

8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.

10 When you think the world has turned its back on you
take another look.

11 Always remember the compliments you received.
Forget about the rude remarks.

Good friends are like stars........
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.

Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only
God keeps You Going

What a cool realization you had today, sky...that a doctor in such high standing would remember you, your experience...acknowledging you in so many ways. How very cool.

Thank you for sharing that. Giving thanks!

Not progressing very well in using CBT so I wrote differently and would like to share my request and thanks sort of combined. Thank you. Ibme

Spent and Rest

I feel spent and weary
And don’t know how to rest
…“Come to me” you say,
“And I’ll give your rest”…

So I come seeking this rest
To be freed of all anxiety
To trust in your care
So I’ll not despair

Make me to see
Where I am blind
Help me to know
Your love sublime

Please let me hear your
Gentle voice amidst the noise
And help me to listen
Becoming more aware

God, I do thank you
For loving me so much
For all your tender mercies
And for your gentle ways

For your grace that’s sufficient
And for being assured
Of renewing my strength
Then do the work you’d have me do

Thank you my God for giving to me
A place to be and learn to rest
For helping me to come to you in
Hope and trusting in your love for now
