recently I had to call the cops and put my son back in Jail after watching him sniff 9 lines of coke I got scared. I feal by calling the cops was a good thing. but now I have a big huge hole in me from his going back to jail. my antidepressents seem to be cositent I have seen my dr at the va for 9 years, I look at this whole thing as perhapes I saved his life, I dont like to see hin in prison but I am releived, thanks for reading Gary

gary welcome. I believe you did the right thing hon. tough love is very hard on us parents but better for the kids in the long run. (((hugs)))

I think you did the right thing, too. It is tough, but you did what you had to do to try to save your son.

You showed great courage here Gary.
To risk his love for his life may not seem like a reasonable exchange for anyone outside the world of addictions,,but it is a choice put forth by most addicts in the vortex. We can litterally love an addict to death by enabeling their behaviors. You set a boundary and that may simply save his life. I will pray for both of you...you did good. Lenny
