Once again, in a perfect world things would be perfect, unfortunately this " is " the real world.

Even if 50 people did this, it would only take 3-5 that are persistent
enough, with enough time on their hands, to impact the other 45-47

just my opinion

((((onlymedid))))) I am glad you posted this. I think alot of us are confused just as you are. I too instantly think of religion when I think of prayer. But I guess the difference is when we request prayer, we aren't "directly" talking about our religious preferences or beliefs.

After looking thru all these posts, mine included, I think outside of the prayer requests, just about all others could be posted elsewhere in the forums. It is just simpler to put them here if you are looking for responses from a particular group of people. I honestly think this forum will be shut down before long because there is such a degree of confusion.

I may make some people mad in saying this but it is how I feel and I am just trying to be honest sooo........here goes....
I think the problem here can be solved with something as simple as putting an ICON or warning, to be used on threads of religious content. People that don't want to see it or hear it....well....the ICON is there to let you know so just don't click on it. Sounds pretty elementary to me as "Sherlock" would put it.

Hey! Where in Idaho are you? I'm in Boise.
I am a member of boards where we all just accept each other for who we are. Most are Christian, some are wiccan, some are indifferent, but figure a prayer can't hurt them.......

We all seem to get along really well once we get to know the "person", not the 'religion'.

Don't get me wrong....i have very strong beliefs. But we are all here for the same reasons.........to care for each other-in whatever way we see as best.

You would think, wouldn't you, Emiltim. There are a few that don't seem to be accepting of some things. I have to admit

I accept you and your beliefs, though. I have to admit

I have to admit

it's all so closely tied in with one another.

it's important that we learn boundaries in this situation.

since it's so new, we just need time to adapt to these boundaries.

i wouldn't necessarily change this forum because of some mistakes made, just keep an close eye out and specify anything that may come up in the regulations here.

this forum is important......
