I used to come and read here, but now I am so confused that I just don't bother. I often wonder why this forum is even here? IDK...no response needed, I am just really confused. LOL

Up to a few days ago, everyone seemed to be adjusting just fine to the new forum, discussing spirituality and asking for prayers and support in their own spirituality needs....

So that's the new focus of the forum and has been for the past 3 weeks. Read through the past 3 weeks' worth of threads to get some idea of what's allowed and what's not, outside of the general "No religion talk."

Thanks,
DocJohn

Doc maybe just a simple prayer forum besides the sanctuary for

spirtuality might not be bad to see how it goes over...???

I know you had mentioned it yesterday or the day before...?

we are in learning mode here onlyme.... we are trying to prevent emotional flare ups... it is good for PC that we all learn to get along imho.. there were some past issues with that..

we are trying here... please help us grow a place where all feel comfortable to express the love they hold for themselves, their friends and family, the community, our Earth and all its people from all walks and ways..

we are trying to prevent a type of 'religious domination' in these forums i think... where everyone can be heard without fear...

where connections to beauty and grace can be found in personal ways with believers from all faiths..

the 'no religion' rule is in regards to preventing 'religious type' battles between believers of different faiths..

in speaking from heart, rather than books, it is hoped that we can all find joy and community and also respect and regard...

no one is denied access here that i am aware of and no one should feel that their access to here is blocked.. these should positively be considered open doors in my opinion, for those who are capable of avoiding harm to others for reasons of spirituality....

that is my view only... hope it is seen in the best possible light...

Maybe there could be one? I mean, I think there are a lot of people who feel like they don't have a place here anymore and that is sad to me. I am not religious at all, so I won't go there, but I think it would help others express themselves?

Most of us here are adults and we should all be able to respect each others religious preferences?

IDK, I just know that it has caused a ton of ruckus.

I would respect DocJohn's decision either way. After all, it is his board!

I have to admit

I hear you nowhere you make a great Point also....!!

I know that forum is very important to alot of people here.

Thats why maybe a prayer forum in addition to sanctuary for

spirtual support may help others confused...?

I have to admit

I think that is exactly it....when I hear the word "pray" or "prayer" I instantly think of religion....is that ignorant or dumb??? I think that is why I am so confused! LOL

Thanks. I just REALLY want to understand so I don't cross boundaries. I definitely have my own viewpoints, but am too afraid to speak of them as I am still unsure if what *I* view as spiritual is too questionable...ya know?

Sorry if I become annoying, but I will keep asking questions til I am comfortable....I don't like to be seen as pushing the bar or getting on anyones nerves....I usually just go with the flow and don't question, but there are things I want to say that I am too afraid to.

Since I feel more comfy here and have friends, I want to include myself in more discussions. I hope that's ok... I have to admit I have to admit I have to admit

I really don't want to step on DocJohn's toes!

((KJ ))) i, as well as you, are groping along each moment with this... it doesnt seem good to be told off for asking questions.. i'm not sure what happened...

Doc John is a fair and decent man imo... i am not aware of his beliefs nor do i need to know... only if he chooses to share....

but a man who makes this website available for free cant be all bad imo...

you're fine... hoping we'll all settle in peacefully here...

supposed to be easy...and finding a path that all can feel safe and happy with

is even harder i think?

and i certainly hope nobody thinks i'm having a go at Doc John? i think he

deserves much respect for the help he gives people via this site for starters.

I don't think anyone meant to tell you off. In fact, I am worried that this thread will be locked at any moment.
All we can do is ask if we have questions. We can't worry about what "might" happen if we do.

I don't think you are having a go at the Doc.... I have to admit

I have to admit I have to admit

I feel comfortable saying, we can all get along together like civil adults trying to achieve the collective goals of this community, without
mentioning specific religion or quoting scripture after scripture

tho....I do love to discuss that sort of stuff, I do understand why it is not allowed, just as it is not in public schools, that is not what this or they are about, there are to many people with diehard views, and it almost always leads to debate, sure in a perfect world everyone would respect each others views and move on, but I am afraid this
" is " the real world, and that is not how it works

there is a cliche that human nature never changes, and I believe it, look how many people die everyday in this world, over their views on religion

I won't claim to hold the key to understanding, but I have been trying
to set on the side lines and see what transpires here

I understand that it is confusing for some, but I think its for the best

just my opinion

i see this from (i think) all the sides and angles... and i think i agree with everything posted... but in this we lost a really important person (probably more than one) that I am really sad for.

I also do not see how prayer can be talked about without it indicating religion. same as i do not see how "hurt none" can indicate a specific religion or scripture....(man watch me be the one to lock this down - not trying to i swear!) it just makes me really sad that ppl cannot find a way to talk about all sorts of things without *feeling hurt*... or causing locks to show up all around the board (much too similiar to my own internal system).

anyone can "talk" and anyone can CHOOSE how they feel about things. so i have to wonder if it is the censoring that is hurtful/helpful... or the way people process their feelings.

As was mentioned (and really is the most important factor) this is not my board and i could have never created one like it. Ever.

Perhaps we can all reflect on how we react to things and learn to trust that no person here is purposely trying to hurt another? "Preachin" to the choir, i know....For future use....
