Kindred souls. How many of us have a kindred soul who stands nearby for us when we need an understanding heart, Someone who has been in the throes of angst, knows the stuff of loneliness has overcome the darkness of grief? These special people understand what we feel, what we think, what we need. Wherever we are on our ga lo hi s di pathway, they are there to tell us we will make it that we are almost there now. And all of a sudden, there is a light that shines, hope that encourages a hand to support us. Then, we reach back and take someone else's hand. Peace.

God is in the "unconscious." The first moment of thinking alters our life. If for one moment we have discerned truth, we can never be the same again. We might ignore it or even forget it, but it will not forget US. Truth, once discerned, goes down into the unconscious mind, but it will jump up in a most awkward way when we don't want it to. In the matter of intercession, when we pray for another, God works in the unconscious domain of that one's being about which we know nothing. And about which the one we pray for knows nothing. And after a while, the conscious life of the one prayed for begins to show signs of softening and an unrest, of inquiry and a desire to know something. It seems illogical to think that, if we pray for all that will happen, but remember to Whom we pray. We pray to a God Who understands the unconscious depths of a man's personality, And it is HE who has told us to pray. ![]()

Many people try to have a quiet time each day. Many more people are unsuccessful at it. ![]() Some people don't even try, yet they long for closeness to God. Still others feel that is what they pay a minister or speaker for, to tell them what God or the universe wants them to hear. Don't settle for second-hand spirituality. You don't do that with other parts of your life, such as vacations or romance. Take time today, if even only for a moment, and be quiet, and experience it for yourself. It's something no one else can do for you. ![]()

At some point in our lives all of us stand at a crucial fork in the road. We have to decide. If we can stand firm to what we know to be true and right, the decision is easier. A true warrior of faith can stand with ease when everything appears to be going downhill. He can not only fight (a la s di ) but he is wearing an invisible armor of faith that makes him invincible. Once we choose the right way, there appears the road to get there, where there had been none before. The good warrior marks the road for those who follow. osiyo.

Sky, it's so ironic that you posted this as I have come to that fork in the road and it is time for me to decide on a major issue...a life-changing one.

Have the courage to be ignorant of a great number of things...
in order to avoid the calamity of being ignorant of everything. I found the above in a very old book. Considering such a thing, to be unknowing of many points of knowledge in an effort to not be considered a know-it-all, and to not fall into a trap of believing what others think is indeed quite a feat. Self-monitoring of truth is all important. What others think you know is not.

When we do something that falls below our best behavior we give power to our worst enemy- a da s ga gi. Each time we overcome irritation and self-pity we draw near our best friend- una li i. To the Cherokee, these are the same "one." One is stronger than the other at times. It is up to us to decide which will rule and which we will nurture.

Each of us have the same amount of time each day to use as we need to to use as we see fit to use as we must Some people appear to accomplish much more than others with the same allotted time It's important to not become caught up in others and what they do or don't But stay focussed on our own path What we have What we need to do What we want to do For our own best health interest We are the ones who are experiencing our lives Others, theirs On your path today, what will you do?

We, as humans, are often good at intellectualizing what we would like to see happen with the world. Many are good at analyzing what it will take to make it happen. Some can even present arguments about how important and worthwhile their goals are. But when it comes down to it, the world's goals are not where their hearts are. Rudyard Kipling once said something... if we have goals in life but have not attained them, it shows either that we did not really want them, or that we decided not to pay the price. May God grant us the burning desire to set goals for which He would have us aim.

Everyone has abilities but no one has the same capabilities as another Use what you can do, what you can give for the benefit of another And you will find that what you can do is enough for both of you. Peace.

<font color="purple">Sir Isaac Newton said: "I can take my telescope and look millions and millions of miles into space; but I can lay my telescope aside, go into my room and shut the door, get down on my knees in earnest prayer, and I see more of heaven and get closer to God than I can when assisted by all the telescopes and material agencies on earth."
The quiet place is the source of power and victory. Without it, spiritual anemia is sure to set in.

[b]No one lives a life of ease
Even those with great wealth can be vacant of friends Finding a good friend is a worthy endeavor indeed Someone who allows you to be who you are and lets you let them be, too Struggles in the world abound It is the substance of "life" It's easier when you approach it with a friend. Be a friend to someone today. ![]()

[b]<font color="green">Silence can be golden.
Especially when the thought is to complain Or when your words can bring only hurt We all learned as children: if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. Be in that quiet place today, and allow the mean-spirited thoughts flow on by as if on a log in a stream and thereby preventing any harsh words from exiting your mouth Allow the waters of upheaval to roll on by and wait for the calm, serene flow of peace to encompass you.
