Thought for today

We can all be instruments of God, imo.

I personally don't believe it is an issue of "can"...it literally takes every grain of sand to make a beach...though our perception only sees the result..

And in the waves of humanity our lives are built upon the existence of all others...though again,,our perception only sees the result.

IMHO.

Well surely you don't think everyone is an instrument of God now, as there are many evil acting people in the world.

Perhaps you contend that the word "can" should be changed to "may" as in we have the permission to serve God, should we so choose?

Nevertheless, it's a good thought for today. Thought for today

Of course I do,,for how would I recognise such goodness in you without that instrument of darkness...? Evil people are not ca ca,,,they are touched upon by spirit too. I have seen incredible miracles in people and the world they live.

The Spirit understands the process for learning "To Love" in all its tragedy. We are all devine in our potential and every instrument is used in revealing that.

IMHO.

Yes, there's humor in God's creation too.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Lenny, angels are one breed of beings and humans totally another. Thought for today Personally, I'm happy that I'm not an angel because I wouldn't have the human experience. We have choices to make. Angels don't have that choice. You might say humans have a greater degree of joy than angels do. Thought for today

Since Sky said it was okay for me to blow my horn, I'll go ahead and wet my whistle for the day. Thought for today

SM - Have you ever seen the movie "When Angels Come to Town" with Peter Falk? There were some lines in there that made me think of what you just said - i.e., the joy of being human as opposed to being an angel and such joys as feeling sand between your toes, or even a hang-nail, lol. I thought it was a good movie. Thought for today

LOL Thanks, Kathy. I thought you were gonna blare your horn but those were some pretty sweet notes. Thought for today

There was another movie that I saw, can't remember the name of it. Meg Ryan co-starred in it. She dies in the end, but she fell in love with an angel that gave up Heaven to become a human. I can't even think of her leading man's name and he's gorgeous! Thought for today He was married to Lisa Marie Presley... oh, geeez! Anyway, yeah, some angels would rather be human. Your use of the word "are" is where our discussion leaves purpose September. I respect your right to conclusions and your Faith that supports them.

But I have sat around many a gathering where the participants have an equal passion for their understanding of such souls as angles,,and others too.

No matter who has shared this passion, I have always been awed by the mere possibility in whatever garb or light they are seen.

I am completely open to any and all potentials for I can simply imagine them,,,and that,,from this puny mind is all it takes to make them real.

With Respect,

Lenny

It's not necessarily what you know, but WHO you know that's important.

For instance, I know ME and what makes me tick. Thought for today

There are a select few who know me well enough to understand what makes me tick. We have a good and solid relationship, and we are there for each other in times of need. Thought for today

Next comes those who just know me well enough to say hello or identify me in a police line-up. Thought for today They don't really care to have a relationship with me and don't want my address/phone number.

Then come those who claim to know me, but have never even sat down with me. They (doctors) make themselves famous by writing about "the mystery of me" (familial amyloidosis) in their journals. It cracks me up to read their "expert" opinions on what they believe makes me tick. What relationship do they want with me? They want me for research, hoping to win a prize and make a name for themselves for finding a treatment for amyloidosis. There's only one catch - they want me dead first. I'm of no use to them alive because they only want to chop me into little pieces and look at me under a microscope. Thought for today

So, yeah, maybe in addition to HOW WELL we know WHO, we should consider the relationship we want to have with WHO. Thought for today

If we're talking about God - then I'd prefer to have a good and solid relationship with God. Thought for today
