there isnt an icon for serenity... so i choose the heart as my symbol of compassion. i bought a gift for my T... Tibertan prayer flags which have the green Tara on them... hand raised in compassion and the other lowered in generosity. Shambhala practitioners i got them because he has been so compassionate to me.. they aren't overtly spiritual and they will beautifully deteriorate so that he isnt stuck with some gift from a client forever. In any event.. i am returning to my meditation practice. i had stopped because of two things: one being the flood of the subconscious during prolonged meditation.. it was like free association and i did not have psychological support to handle the trauma issues... and two, the concept of ultmiate aloneness was overwhelming to me... i retreated from it.

i am ready to go back. Meditation will give me back some of the mindfulness, compassion for myself and calmness which had been reduced in my life.

i am very interested to know if some of you also see psychologists or psychiatrists. Shambhala practitioners

ty crazybones... it's a tough road. T was very quick to point out the break in my beliefs when it comes to my own self... ie, the lack of compassion, etc. He is a very good person... a good spirit and such good energy for me.

he has been very interested in my beliefs, very curious about the ideas within Buddhism and Shambhala both.

i read your poem.. write more of them. Poetry has been lost to western society as a means of expression really... very few people i run into have ever read any outside of what they were forced to read in high school. Shambhala practitioners
