I don't know the first thing about llamas, Wendy. What is "cush"? I've heard the word but that's it.

Cush is when they sit down, like a camel does for someone to load up the baskets or packs for it to carry, or to get on for a ride. Llamas are closely related to camels and do it the same way. It's good to be able to get them to cush on command so that you can work with them, do their shots, etc., and even just to be able to get them to sit down and stay out of trouble for a minute if you take them out in public. I don't know if Cayenne had ever been trained to cush, but she wouldn't for us. I think she was raised rather wild, with a lot of other llamas, and never handled much.
