I'm trying to keep it together for two more days. Two of the assignments this week are the toughest of the three-week class. I'm 90% sure I will do fine on the project, which is worth half of the points this week, but I'm worred about the quiz on APA. I have been reading the Concise Rules of APA Style (190 pages) for two days now. I feel frazzled and tired. If I had not aleady invested 2-1/2 weeks in this class I would ditch it. I have to get an 80% or higher on this quiz, or I will not be certified. It makes me feel like I want to cry.

Aww. Last Two Days of Class (((((((((((((((EJ))))))))))))))))) Don't cry. Learning APA is hard... I'm having to do it in university, and they actually allow us to use guides for it for papers and stuff (on top of learning MLA for other classes, which is another style). What's the project on? You want some help being quizzed and stuff? You've helped me out a bazillion times with essays and stuff, I can at least help you a tiny bit. I think you're pretty bloody brilliant though.

Love ya lots and prayers. Last Two Days of Class

The hardest things in life are the most worthwhile when we acheive them.....you are brillant & very humble which is actually a good combination as that makes us work that much harder & end up knowing that much more & actually being that much better than the others who it looks like it comes easy to.

My prayers are with you....you know that........I know how that level of frustration drive one to cry & even have horrible anxiety attacks......but we usually hold on until it's all over....then collapse.

I have faith in you......you keep up your faith in yourself......the important thing is this has been a huge challenge for you & to accomplish what you have is an awsome task.....no matter what the end results are.......you know so much more than you did at the start of the class.....but I am also praying for the positive outcome for the class for you most of all.

Hugs,
Debbie

((((((((((((((( EJ )))))))))))))))))))

I have tons of faith in you as well......can you take a breather for awhile? Do something really nice for yourself and then get back to the studying? I've learned that by cramming cramming cramming really doesn't help much and we can forget things more easily at that point.

Hang in there (((((((((( EJ ))))))))))) my gut tells me you will do just fine!

How nice to check back on my thread, and to see all your wonderful responses. THANK YOU!!

They gave us these really tough assignments this week, and then took away a day to get the work done.

I've been stressed all week, b/c the two classes I have been assigned to teach at my current employer start in two weeks.

I had two pre-school appointments, dentist and stopped at optometrist to get a new pair of glasses (of course these appointments were out-of-town -- I don't have a lot of resources in town).

Then I haven't volunteered to do any volunteer work since we moved here (5-1/2 years ago), b/c I have been trying to rebuild my life, and start a new career, teaching. Well last month I learned they needed a new church to distribute Angel Food here. I told the person at a local agency here, who administers the taking orders part, I would work to find a new church to takeover the ordering and food distribution part. This has turned into no small task.

Anyway with only two days left for the course, the only day the lady who has been doing this can meet with me is tomorrow.

Sabby, you're right I need another break -- I have taken several already.

Next week I only have a three-hour faculty meeting (two hours from home, one-way), a hair appointment in town, and an appointment with my foot doctor (also approx. two hours away, one-way). Sigh...

Maybe I will actually have less to do in two weeks when school starts! Last Two Days of Class

Sky,

Thank you!!!!! I loved the bookworm with the big glasses too!! Cartoons have a way of relaxing me, and making me laugh.

I'm going to have to stop for today, or my attitude is going to go from bad to worse.

I got out for a ride to town with husband. Boy, was that much needed. Last Two Days of Class

Thank you everyone -- you don't know how much your notes meant to me.

EJ,

This is just something that happened to me when asking for a Break........Leo got a broken leg & I broke the car I backed into with my trailer hitch......you really have to be careful when asking for a break.....because one never knows what kind of break they will really get.....lol.

Everytime I even think of asking for a break, I cover my mouth real quick...thinking about usind duct tape if I am not more careful......I can't afford many more breaks like those......lol.

We really have to be careful what we ask for.. I know for me when I finally decide to volunteer & get involved again because I have so much time available, it always ends up being at the same time as something that is critical in my life when I really don't have time to do it.....when it rains it pours after nothing but a drought or so long......life just seems to be that way & we just have to be flexable & so do the people around us.

It all works out in the end, when we can finally sit down & breath......but sometimes I know i wonder if I will make it to that point......we always do......but the wonder is always there. When will we ever get used to life being that way since is always is????

I don't think we ever will, but we just keep on going & it always works out....of course, if God could only give us those 48 hour days we have been longing for so long......I just know that would help.

Keeping you in my prayers,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Thankfully when we talk to God, the Holy Spirit translates for us. The Holy Spirit knows I don't want a break -- I just had one at the beginning of the summer.

Who is Leo?

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and prayers.

OK, I'm through the APA quiz which was psyching me out.

I'm down to one more post (not a big deal), and I have to finish the 50 point project (worth half of the points this last week).

It all has to be in by midnight. I think I can do it!

Sky, Christina, Debbie, Bebop and Sabby,

You really helped me a lot to get through what turned into a bit of a marathon for me, especially this last week. I made it over the "finish line" last night at 9:45 p.m. I will let you all know what my final grade was when I get it in a couple of days. I'm sitting on a 99% right now, without the last discussion board post, and the editing of the 14-page student paper, which was worth 50 points, which I feel like I flew through.

It felt so good to be able to sleep in this morning.

You can breath again.....no hyperventilating & passing out now that you can breath however. I know how good it feels to his the finish point & then be able to sleep & sleep & sleep....it's like the body had put it's all into what we were doing & then needs to recoperate......I think that sleep when we are completely exhausted actully feels the best as we know we deserve it after all the hard work.

Will be looking forward to hearing the final results......definitely top of the class I'm sure. When we strive for top......& even if we come in a little less, we do better than if our goals are at the bottom.......Drive is what makes the difference between successful & not successful people.

Just so you know, Leo in my american eskimo dog that is always with me....my guardian angel doggie that never neaves my side.....he is about 6 years old now.....definitely not my youngest......but also is the one that gets into all the trouble it seems.....lol. It's like having a mischievous child around all the time.

Give yourself a break, then do something nice for yourself.......that you feel you have earned after all this hard work,
Debbie

Debbie,

Thanks for your well-wishes!

I'm 99.9% sure I will receive my certification to teach at this new university. You all will be among the first to know.

I've had trouble going to sleep the last few nights. It's like decompressing after running at the speed of light for almost three weeks.

I bought myself some new clothes for my faculty meeting tomorrow, and the first day of my "in-person" class on the 21st. My online class starts on the 18th.

This week is rather full, but at least I don't have to worry about taking tests. Until this last week, I hadn't done that in 24 years. That's a bit of awhile.

Leo sounds precious.

Got to run.
