I'm having an awful day. I've cried so much. I go back to see the oncologist in a couple of weeks and I'm afraid of what he might say. I don't want to deal with cancer. It's too hard for me. I'm scared, and I need as many prayers and good thoughts I can get. Please...even if it's just a small prayer. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

i most certainly will pray for you. i will also ask some friends of mine to do the same.

i can only imagine how scared and upset you must feel. it is hard to face worries about your health.

if you want to PM me and rant/rave/cry/fuss.....please feel free. i can't fix it, but i can listen.

You are in my prayers MP. The thing I always remember when things hit me really hard is that He won't give us more than we can handle. Sometimes I have wondered about that when I lay in the hospital with a central line after going through a trauma, but I have survived & for it have become stronger in the long run. We never know what we will really have to deal with, but then the prayers move from praying for the wellness to praying for the strength to get through what has been placed in ourlives. Oh how blessed are the people who never have to go through problems.

We are in God's hands....he knows our needs & we keep on praying,
Debbie

Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts. I don't believe He puts more on us than we can handle either. But, some days I just get so down and worried and scared that I don't know what to do with myself. I pray ALOT here lately. Probably more than I ever have in my life with the exception of when my disabled daughter was born with so many problems. Maybe this is His way of showing me that I do need Him in my life more than I thought I did. I'm not saying that He would make me sick or anything like that. But I sure do realize now that I need Him... and I mean REALLY need Him. When no one seems to understand and no one else can help me, I know where I can go to get that love and understanding. No matter what the oncologist says, I know I'm going to be alright. Things will be ok. I just know it. Thank you all so much again. Don't know what I'd do without my friends here. You're all so special to me in your own unique way, and it touches my heart.

mp,

i have to disagree with one thing eskielover said, "Oh how blessed are the people that don't have problems". that is not true. when you see a big storm and huge trees that blow down, sometimes it happens because the trees had never experienced a lot of smaller storms and when the big storm comes their roots are too shallow to anchor them well and they just come crashing down because they were not used to the buffeting of the winds.

i don't mean to be argumentative, but it is the storms of life that help build strenths and roots in us for the biggest storms of life.

i guess i believe the kind of quotes that say blessed is a people who's God is the Lord. Which says to me that people who can trust God are blessed by it when they have deep troubles and need a sturdy anchor to help them get through it all. God will hold us tight even though it feels like we are in a raging storm. i saw a painting of that once. most people feel that a painting of peace would be a quiet pastoral scene where all is tranquil, but this picture showed a violent wind storm around a cliff by the ocean and a small bird had a nest in the crevass in the rocky cliff and was sitting on her nest peacefully while the storm raged about her but didn't get to destroy her little shelter in the storm. Most often I think God offers us peace IN the storm rather than peace FROM the storm.
