Last night I went to an open house of a lady who does "readings." She has a shop where she makes candles and sells other "new age" type things. I went with my best friend who is into all this new age stuff. I pretty much ignore it, though I respect her decisions to pursue it. We were joined for dinner by two other female friends and rode in the car together to the open house. I was a bit impatient with the whole evening and not feeling very enthusiastic about the event. One of the women is a nurse and a Reiki master. The two who joined us went ahead as I had forgotten something in the car and my friend and I went back to get it. As my friend and I neared the storefront open house, and I was looking at the event inside, I slipped and fell (HARD) on the uneven pavement outside. A flurry of activity ensued as they helped me up and we went inside. I wrenched both ankles, one really badly, and bloodied my knee (which I discovered when I came home). When we went inside, the nurse/Reike woman put her hand on my back for a substantial period of time as people helped me recover and straighten myself. I realized she was doing this to the point that I had to hold back tears, not because of the pain of the fall, but because of the presence she was emitting to me. Strangely, I have no soreness from this hard fall...neither ankle is sore or bruised. I don't quite know what to make of it, but I did sense her power.

Here's a site I found. Sounds insteresting, but I, myself, would be leary of what "god" they are calling upon. That's just me, though.
