Could you describe what you're experiencing that makes you think you might be hearing voices? It takes a bit of experience to know it, and sometimes I think it's a hallucination and someone's actually trying to talk to me, while on other occasions I think somebody has said something and I reply inappropriately. But more often than not now I get it right. It's getting to know yourself.

I'm don't want to be dogmatic about this, because I could be wrong, and I don't want you to worry unecessarily, but I do think it sounds a bit like the start of voices. It's many years since my voices started up, so I can't remember the process exactly, but since I've been on meds the voices have shut up, for the most part. However, when for whatever reason I start to have a blip I get the arguments running round and round in my head as an early symptom. I've come to see it as a warning sign, that I take seriously.

I do think if something is causing you anxiety the most sensible thing is to talk about it to a professional. You have my sympathies... it's a horrid thing to endure.
