hi. i was scared to post this, but i figured it would be ok here to do so.

anyway...about 6 months or so ago, i miscalculated how much seroquel i had till it could be renewed. consequently, i ran out. well, at first i thought i would be ok till i could refill it, but boyoboy was i wrong!!!

when it was running out, i found i could not sleep, and i was getting up around 2 or 3 am every night. plus, i became very nauseous. my schizoaffective symptoms went straight through the roof, which normally they do not do.

luckily, this story has a "happy" ending. i was able to obtain some of the seroquel time release pills from my GP, ( thank God), and i began to feel better. then the time came when i could renew my seroquel, and i was stable.

this story taught me a much needed lesson about psych meds. i would never ever play "medication roulette" with my psych meds again, particularly the super strong ones for me like seroquel, risperdal, and zoloft. i got a pill box, and i am extremely careful about never taking too much or too little of the meds, only exactly as prescribed my Pdoc. dr. inocalla is a good psychiatrist for me...she doesn't raise or lower my meds since i am extremely sensitive to them and cannot tolerate well any kind of changes with them.

i hope my post has been of some value. like i said i was a bit afraid for some reason to post this, but i figured it would be ok here. i hope i have not upset anyone. if so i apologize in advance, but i felt a need to share my experience with others.
Hugs from:

I stopped taking Zyprexa cold and I almost committed suicide and I've never been suicidal like that since or before. Psych meds are scary stuff.

I agree you have to be careful with the antipsychotics. Its a bomarrang effect. They will come back to get you.
