Check in as needed and as many times as you want!
-------------------------------------- Just checking in, been about a month since I've been on the site. Have had a lot of other obligations that have worn me out. I'm on Abilify right now, and my doctor(s) are literally fighting the insurance company on getting it covered. But I am here and I am still kickin. __________________ |

How do you like Abilify, Dill? I've been on it for about 2 months and I feel like it's working better than anything has in years. I hope you can get it covered.

I am not sure. I don't think it is really doing anything, but my symptoms are gone so I guess it's doing something. Just doesn't feel like an AP. 15mg so fart.

Dill pickle, I hope your new med Abilify helps you. it was not a good med for me personally, but I hope it is for you!
I currently feel like I have no foothold, and this disorder is messing with my other illnesses, messing with my life. I feel like a seed caught in the wind, with nowhere to land and grow my roots. Lots of worries swarming in my head today, which intensified my delusions, I think. Getting my first, and hopefully last, cavity filled today has stressed me out. People being so close can really upset my boundaries and make my audio hallucinations go haywire. Almost fell over when I got out of the chair. And after months of not going to therapy, I finally called today and made an appointment with my therapist. If I'm still upset and don't feel helped by the sessions, I might consider finding a new one. |

Dill just thought I'd mention I'm on abilify as well. I didn't think it was doing anything either until I tried to come off of it. Boy was that a mistake! I spent the last three weeks off work and in a partial hospitalization program because I thought I could go off of it. I think it's one of those things that sort of works in the background, if that makes sense.

I was discussing some new antipsychotic medications back a decade ago as I was on Depakote and was sick of being a 265lb pig and Abilify and Zyprexa were brought up but after talking to my p-doc he said the Zyprexa works best if taken at night and can help with sleep while the Abilify works best taken in the morning as it gives you some energy so I went with the Zyprexa and have been on it mostly symptom free at the 20mg dose every night.

I was a little worried about being on 3 antipsychotics but I saw my GP today and she said she understood completely why I was on it. I also found out the most current diagnosis my GP has from my psychiatrist is from 2010, it was bipolar I disorder rapid cycling rule out schizoaffective. Four years later and I still don't know whether I'm bipolar or schizoaffective.

Today was an INCREDIBLY GOOD day.
I even cheered up some accounts receivable lady because I owed a bunch of money to my phone company and I was so HAPPY on the phone. I bet she doesn't get many happy callers. I'm a little afraid it's TOO GOOD. __________________ Bipolar I with psychotic features/GAD/Transgender (male pronouns please) Seroquel/Abilify/Risperidone/Testosterone My Bipolar Poetry Anthology Underneath this skin there's a human Buried deep within there's a human And despite everything I'm still human I think that I'm still human |

Things have been a little worrying with my psychosis lately. It just kinda jumped up... we're working on it though.

I'm great, and not. I'm vaguely hallucinating, a little delusional, not sleeping and partly manic, so I feel great dispite that I shouldn't.

Feeling a lot better, now that I have Lunesta for sleep. If I wake up after 4-6 hours I can take a klonopin. So I'm covered.

Back in hospital again. This one is less like a prison, and the people here are kind. I especially like my new Pdoc, and that is a huge plus when you're in for paranoia and hallucinations.

I'm on Invega and it helps me. Although I am going to have a prolactin level done and if it is high I may have to switch to something else.

There is no way to describe how utterly destroyed and fragmented I feel right now.
There is no reason for it - such is the nature of this condition they call "schizoaffective disorder." Pardon my honesty! But I want people who feel the same right now to know that they're not the only ones. __________________ DX: Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar Type |

Struggling these past few days. Crashed into a depressed state, have been laying in bed all day. My mind is racing and my anxiety is sky high. Having very negative thoughts.
