Does anyone have delusions that someone is out to get them and see puzzles (someone is trying to send me a message)? How do you deal with it?

Thanks,

KJ

I wish it did for me. I'm on risperidone and I still have spells that I go through. Maybe I'll talk to the doc and see if we can change it.

Thanks for the response

It took 4 yrs to get the right medication for me. Now, I have occasional paranoia and delusions, but not like before, where it was taking up my whole life and thoughts.

Wow, I used to have this when I was 17-19, Didn't realize it was a delusion. Don't think it was though. When I moved, this kind of thing stopped. I don't take meds. I find it hard to comment on anything because I don't take meds. I feel like my comments are overlooked because of that. Whatever, this isn't about me. I'm sorry you are going through this now, KJ2791. For me, when I moved away from a certian city, these things stopped, whenever I go back to that city, they start up again. So for me, I just don't go there. Hahaha. Take care of yourself KJ2791.

smilesandcries, that is interesting that it's attached to a specific place. I've been dealing with this same thing for 5 years, but they start no matter where I am. Glad to hear you're staying away from that place :-). Take care.

I've been working on this for 5 years. I still have a lot of paranoia and delusions. Glad to hear you're doing better on the right meds.
Thanks for this!

I'm on risperidone as well. That could possibly be the problem. I think I'm going to ask the doc to change my meds over to something else and see what happens.

Sometimes I feel like that. Or I start looking for patterns, repetitions, noises from electronics. I always try to fight those thoughts with the idea that they are probably irrational and with the knowledge that knowledge is not always power because no one would believe me. Or that I would be dealt with if they knew I knew.

I kinda get what smilesandcries said, too. I think where you grew up can influence your beliefs & actions. Some of the things that were normal where I grew up could be considered irrational/delusional where I live now.

Yes. Most recently demons had inhabited my body and were sending me messages in the leaves. I started respirodon, but I gained weight like crazy. I'm talking half my normal weight gained, so I'm on 100 mg of Thorazine now. Seems to be working.
