So...I have felt/feel that books are about me, like it was written for me for some reason. Idk it goes beyond being aucked into the books world (i read a lot) and idk that the storyline pertains to me. Does this even make sense? Has anyone felt similar?

I don't think books are about me...but I can definitely relate because I will think every song is about me. But my psychosis revolves around music, so it makes sense.

ive had the same feelings about songs, art and movies. there is a movement called "syncromysticism" where you can see how movie makers put in syncs to zodiac and relationships between the viewer and reality.

for me i thought they were mocking me by the futurama character fry because i had a red car and was a pizza driver. i actually went to a local paper trying to see if it was true.

there have been trillions of people who have walked this earth, so its innevitable that you and anyone looking will find relationships externally.

well go look up syncromysticism on the net or youtube and watch the videos these guys are doing, they find relationships in movies with astrology, numerology and actual past events.

when i started noticing that i was being stalked as i worked, my mind started seeing these glaring similarities to my life in various media.

the thing about people before us is simple, human systems are diverse but follow certain lines and its our relationships to others we dont know that become evident in our observations. the internet and books are our windows into seeing how we relate.

I know what you mean I used to think the same thing about TV and also I would see a lot of "sycromystacism".

Wow that state of mind I was in at that time was not good thinking back.

It's delusional thinking I believe correct me if I'm wrong

I havent told a psych or T this and wouldnt kmow how or where to begin or if theyd believe me. Not that they would believe along with me but that they would think i was making it up that i thought that. Like malingering or whatever.

I can tell you the books are not about you so it has to be a delusion. But I understand how those thoughts can kinda take over

I understand I think it's ok to relate to books and movies and such and find meaning. But I also remember back when I was in a bad state of mind were I was thinking movies and TV were directed toward me and feeding into my delusions and thoughts. Looking back it was a sure sign of my illness.

Hmm. I suppose. Like they are reaching out to me vs relating. I know Bipolar can have psychosis but I thought that was only/gen re ally when manic which has happened but now its outside of mania.

Once you have the appointment you can just talk about the things your thinking and feeling. I read your other post you remind me of me as far as staying in your room avoiding your roommate and getting annoyed and also with this post.

I believe it's common and the doctor will have been trained in this type of stuff it won't shock them at all.

Your right about that I don't get hung up on the diagnosis people may disagree with me but there similier and take similier meds and everyone's body reacts differently to meds.

Yea and it's not just me its many people who have the same symtoms. I just now read your post title "psychosis" and that's a common belief.

For me I sometimes think there's video camera or microphones in my car recording me and I used to think aliens could hear my thoughts.

Not sure if these are psychosis or delusions either way the meds are the same

Do you feel like your mind can't stop thinking? On and on and on about stuff that doesn't matter or make sense? That's one of my big symtoms and it's very draining.
