Hmmm... I think I'd pick someone my own age or older, same gender, who wasn't in a group and didn't look distracted or rushed like they had to make a phone call or go to the restroom or something - and with a friendly face. Then I'd just casually chat about the homework assignment or something the teacher had mentioned in the lecture or just the class in general.

I'm scared of asking in case they say No - because I feel diifferent from everyone else. I don't want to look like the weird one in the class though - so I got to try.

I found a weapon I can actually bring to college as well - so I can be safer and be ready for the sleeper cells.

The meds - I don't know, I want to know if it's me or the meds that are getting me to college, I just want to test it, it can't be bad everytime and things are exactly great right now - so it won't make much difference.

Yeah, if I felt like I was asking a stranger to hang out with me, I'd be scared too. Too intense. But I don't have a problem striking up a conversation. Just mention something in the environment. If they respond, great. If not, eh... move on to the next customer.

I don't know your set up there, but if the students go to a lounge or breakroom on the break, you could say, "Are you headed to the lounge? Can I walk with you? Not sure where it is." Don't lie, of course, if you do know where it is - especially if you've been seen there. Then talk while you walk (but not about sleeper cells).

Or just, "How are you liking the class?" or "What did you think of last night's homework? Problem 3 stumped me." Then listen for their answer and check to see if they look like they want to talk more. (When I get nervous, I get so focused on myself, I forget to listen for the answer! Then I look like an idiot, because I have to ask again or because I say the wrong thing in response to their response. )

Just don't start with a man. He may think you're making a pass. Unless you want to make a pass, of course.

P.S. It occurs to me that people in your neck of the woods may not be as friendly and approachable as the ones around here. Modify above advice for cultural appropriateness, of course.

You've already tested it - several times. Didn't work. Don't do it. Be successful at your class. Feel good about yourself and your accomplishments. Don't do something that'll screw up this good trend. Don't give the people who said you can't do it any ammunition.

There is like a lounge - it's called something I can't remember though, I don't know if they go there or to the canteen. I was just going to ask if I could go to break with them, it's going to be really weird just asking that.

Lol - there is only 1 boy in the class - which is weird.

I'll not talk about sleeper cells lol - I see the response I get from certain people and I don't want them thinking I'm totally crazy - that won't be good.

People in the class seem ok - so I hope they say yes.

Lol - well the weapon, it's a kubotan, isn't ok to take the student counsellor said and she called the nurse to tell him as well, so I don't know if I should just get a stab proof vest - I just want to feel safe.

Well the meds aren't working as well as they did, but maybe I'll keep at it longer, the nurse wants me to see the doctor and review it but I won't.
