So i keep obsessing in my head if i will have another psychotic episode in the fall. I keep wondering what it will be like cause it has been different every year. Maybe I will avoid one this year that would be great or maybe ill at least be able to control it. But its like my head tricks me every year and I never see it coming and get completely blindsided. I really really really really hope my new meds prevent anything from happening.

Do you have someone in your life who is familiar with your "signs" who can give you a heads up if they notice anything?

Well when it happens people always tell me you're ok and this and that isn't real and so on but I never believe them.

At the moment the only trigger I know is that its September because it always happens in that month or October. I do hate summer though. Other than that I have no clue.

I hate it when people try to tell us what we see/believe isn't real. For me, it's a part of my life and they're just blinded. What is reality? It's different for everyone.
But I hope you feel ok and people try to understand

My older son (the one with sz) had his first episode in September 2005. And almost every episode since then has started in the September or October time period. I don't think it helps him to know that. It just makes him more fearful going into that time of year.

My younger (adopted) son tends to wig out in May. He was removed from his bio mom in May 2000. Then he was removed from her again in May 2002 after a failed attempt to reintegrate him and his sisters with her. Then in May 2003 he was separated from his sisters and in May 2004 he disrupted an important foster care placement.

See a theme? May no good. In his case it does help to know why he starts feeling antsy and uncomfortable in May. I imagine just the smell of spring in the air must ignite that fear of being separated from his loved ones.
