I don't buy one, because I can watch the stuff for free on the internet (legally, similar to Hulu) without a license.
I also break the law every year to watch the live broadcast of Eurovision, which I love but do not think is worth the £100
So the license is like our cable television?

Aren't there laws against false advertising in the US?

No, it's a tax to watch ANY live-broadcast TV. Cable is a separate expense.

Eh, I love the BBC! Plus there are lots of ways to get around it, like watching everything online. Plus all national broadcasters get tax money in one way or another; structuring it as a license fee instead of as a direct tax allows the BBC to decide its programming independent of the government.

Closed my old bank account on my lunch break. Why do I get soppy emotional connections to everything?!?!? Including bank accounts at banks which obviously feel no emotional connection to me! And the account number. She wrote it down while closing it, and I thought, "Oh, I loved that number."

This makes sense to me. I memorize account numbers and such so they feel like part of my head. I don't like parting with things like that either.
Thanks for this!

I memorise all the numbers, but I don't care for them.

I agree. I get really attached to numbers. And this number had a nice pattern - 22032773.

I get attached to silly things like numbers, or certain places, and I definitely bond with animals. I just don't care about people.

I get attached to people too. We have had two employees quit recently. One's last day is today, and one's is next Tuesday. It's stressful. I think I just don't like change.

Calling all realists! I am useless. Future is dark, painful. Mom is real to the extreme. Useless. The surgery was supposed to be just a 2 week recovery but as in our pathetic existence that it will be months and months. We will be stuck for a long time where I don't even get dressed. Just sleep 24 hours a day. Realism/ realist is my favorite words in the world because it describes me. Lasers pointed at my head with Anencephaly. That means no brain in the medical world. God!!! The Human Condition sucks. Every single place I go they think I am the darkest, most mendacious person in all of the world. "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" they yell at me. All reports mention this horrible thing. Online mentions it as well. I have the entire world against me. Black hole. The only thing keeping me sane right now is a funny dictionary. That is it!!! Limited mind you say with obsessive thought patterns? Huh? Rats everywhere. Hair goes for the worst. I know I mention my useless artist impecunious future a lot, but its true. Even the dictionaries around say artists are living in abject poverty. That is the ONLY talent I have. Worthless. How much do I make??? SSI and that is literally IT. I will probably lose it next year when they do the review. With the way my life is, if it can go wrong, it will go wrong. I am an honest person, but no one else thinks that. Humans around the world and possibly the Universe think I am the Devil. Oh why limited???? Stuck forever with no hope of escaping. My handwriting sucks and looks kiddish. My vocabulary is also kiddish at approximately 3-6 grade level although I am so called 29 years young. Even my looks are not 29. My intelligence? I laugh at that. My IQ is low. Simple tasks? I can't figure it out. Complex tasks? No way. Realism is the word of the century. I am not affected of being too optimistic also known as delusional. That is all. For now. Oh yeah. My other computer is still down. I want to write my story. Too late.

Yesterday was so stressful.

It was one coworker's last day. Another coworker's last day is Tuesday. Not sure why I'm finding that so stressful. I don't like change much, so it could just be doubled because there're two leaving. I think it's more than that, though. I wish it were me leaving. But then one of them is 28 and the other is 35, and they're leaving for better opportunities. I'm 50, and I think I'm a little fearful that my better opportunities are all behind me.

Then we didn't get paid, and even though it's not a crisis (I have enough to get me by), it's a little stressful.

Then my water bill was twice what it should have been. I fear there's a leak somewhere. That's created stress, because I'm worried it's going to cost a lot to fix.

On top of that my son's been very depressed and very quiet. I think that's drawing my mood down a bit as well.

I hate when people leave it changes things.

I emailed the nurse again and I used song lyrics - these ones are ok thought right ? I know the others are.

You’ve got your secrets locked inside you’ve got them hidden so well

I’m gonna break down all your walls and find out what you won’t tell

I know you think you coined the slogan of the master disguise

Let’s cut right through it to the ********, I see all of your lies

She is back on the 9th.

Yep. There are more and more studies coming to this conclusion. The people on the low carb forum are loving this I'm sure. I haven't been over there for a while. Maybe I'll cruise on over there and watch them gloat.

The only problem is that for me, the low-carb diet was so expensive I was guaranteed to lose weight because I couldn't afford the food

lol... Yes, it's more expensive. Thank you for saying that! Some people love to argue that it costs no more. Nonsense.

I used to buy a kilo of lentils for £2.70. I'm sure you can imagine how long that bag lasted me -- usually three weeks if I ate them every day for lunch and dinner! Can you imagine getting three weeks of animal protein for £2.70? Would you want to?!?!
