My mother left. I feel empty and alone and I was not expecting that.

Newtus, it would be impossible for me to do jury duty. For me its mainly my lack of intelligence, the autism, and the schizoaffective disorder occurring together. I wouldn't be able to understand the evidence. I wouldn't understand if it proves if the suspect is guilty or innocent. I wouldn't understand the other jurors. Working together with total strangers would be difficult. Now, I am NOT saying to do this, but if there is a legitimate condition and reason, then you can get out of it. When did you get the jury duty? I believe to get out of it, you need a doctor's note and diagnosis. Now, if I was smarter with half a brain and without any conditions I believe it would be interesting to do one day. But I also don't want the responsibility of the world on my shoulders while I can't figure out the simple things and I also have extreme difficulty in life making decisions. I know I am old, 29 to be exact and my parents make all the major decisions for me. Actually my father has trouble with it as well. Same with my brother. So, the only one that runs the family is my mom. I have several legitimate reasons why I wouldn't make a good juror. For you, if you have problems on why you don't and can't serve, then write to the person that sent you the information (actually there should be information about this very thing that i told you on that information). There should be a form to fill out. Or are you in jury duty right now?

I think people with sz are normally excluded, if that helps. You just have to tell them you're bonkers in the nut and they'll let you go.

is it possible to get denied from ssi in 3 months? or approved. wouldnt they wait longer and then deny you rather than saying in 2 1/2-3 months that "hey your denied!". i mean that seems pretty quick to be denied. id think they hold out longer you know?
so if they sent something in 3 months would it be more likely itd say approved or denied?

Why do you ask? Has it been 3 months since you applied?

In my experience everyone gets denied the first time through. At least in Kansas. My niece only has a partial corpus callosum - which causes her multiple problems including mental retardation. They even denied her.

yea. its been 3 months. i called and they said im getting a notice in the mail. i know its coming i just dont know what it says. the guy met my father in person and said i was approved just not processed yet. but they could be lying. its a longer story..but irrelevant details. im just hoping they didnt lie to my dad.

my dad says they can lie sometimes in place of getting certain things done out of you. theres other details but it has nothing to do with me. im just wondering if thy can lie like that and say i was approved only to have the letter say denied?

Well, it could happen. Usually, what the letter says is what the agency will go by. But it doesn't seem like it's a good thing to worry about until you get the letter.

Can you play your drums or something? I'd stay around to chat a bit, but it's super late and I need to sleep and then work. I'm officially a corporate drone now. :'(

Kansas is one of the worst. Two years to get through the whole process is standard.

I'm here. I saw my GP today, he is really nice. He says I don't have any mental illness problems. He did weigh me, though. 11 stone. I feel so fat.

idk how id celebrate this.
i mean im glad i got approved and i could celebrate but at the same time its like saying "yay i have schizoaffective disorder this is AWESOME" you know?

i quietly celebrated when i read the letter just now. mail just arrived.

it just made me think of what costello said though. how in kansas its 2 years standard. and i see other people dont get it and have to go through appeals and hearings. im wondering what they didnt do or dont have.
i had consistent documentation from back when i was 15 or 17.

i had a second interview at that weirdo place. the corporate woman was much more prepared, and asked more questions. that made it seem more normal, but it made it maybe more difficult. i really don't know if it went well or not. this woman was very blank. anyway, i tried. i don't know. i'm just going to assume i'm not being considered.

A second interview is a good sign, it surely means you're being considered!!
