Well, I think a lot has to do with your gender. For me, I am female so the sexual experience is different then a man's of course. If you have a sex drive and can achieve satisfaction from sex, that is a good thing if you are on anti psychotics. ( Which one do you take?) A lot of people have absolutely no sex drive at all on meds and if they are male, some can not perform because of ED. My experience was an absolute lack of desire depending on the med I was on and then it wasn't satisfying when I did have sex, so having sex was usually not something I enjoyed.
If I were you I'd ask your Dr. about it. |

My orgasms are incredibly short on meds and less pleasant...now that I'm getting off meds things are getting better however they aren't like they were but I'm still on a low dose. There is no permanant damage it's just that orgasm requires dopamine and that's what the meds block. Some of the meds like risperidone or the older APs cause an increase in prolactin that can also suppress sex drive so that's correctable by switching meds.

I would contact your doctor about it.
I am not a sexually active person, so I have not experienced this, but I hope that you get it figured out soon! Take care! |
