No one Believes Me

Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum, and I'm a little nervous, but the only person who will even listen suggested it, so here it goes. The other night I was surfing the web, when I saw a news story on yahoo. Some of you may have seen it. It was about finding a lost city somewhere around or under Miami. I was interested in the story so I did some more research about other lost civilizations that have been found over the years. I read about a finding a few years ago in India about a crater over 100,000 years old, still radioactive from some kinda explosion. So I got thinking, how could this be? Long story short, something clicked inside my head and it all make since! Aliens..... ****ing aliens! Over 100,000 years ago, we had flying cars huge cities with unheard of technology! But the aliens wiped us out! They became threatened by us and had to wipe us out to save themselves! But before they did, they took Two small children. A boy and girl, with them. Raised them in captivity till they were old enough and the world was clean again. Then put them on earth to repopulate.

What do you get? Adam and eve. The bible is a warning! This "god" are the aliens telling the people how to live so this doesn't happen again! The bible was written by numerous people throughout their lives to warn us of the danger in hopes we stop it from repeating! All these alien sightings are them coming down to check on our progress, and what do we do? We shoot them down and experiment on them! Were heading down the same path! Revelations is all about what they are gonna do if we don't change our ways! Last night they were trying to get in the house because I know too much! I saw them Peeking into the windows and trying to open the door! They want to find out how I know so much and I'm scared...

I tried telling my family this, and they cut me off and tell me to shut up, that no one wants to hear such nonsense. I feel like I have uncovered the worlds greatest secret and no one will listen!
I guess what I wanna ask is, is it really that hard to believe?Have any of you ever figured something out, only to have no one listen? Were you right the whole time? Did people treat you the way I'm being treated? The whole world feels like a lie right now, I'm so confused.......

I really hope I don't affend anyone with the whole god thing, I'm just really confused because I was raised in a christian home, now I just feel betrayed. I could really use some input. Thanks in advance!

There is always the possibility that what you are talking about is true or a piece of truth in some fashion. I can imagine how it would feel to fear that much of what you grew up believing is not the same as what you believe you have figured out. I have come to understand something about the lifespan of Black Holes and others just roll their eyes. I kept thinking that perhaps if I had a doctorate in physics it would make a difference. I got amped up and grew bitter rather than feeling a deep sense of anxiety over the matter. I just keep trying to see if what I believe to be true could actually be true. I also try to understand that I probably won't find out as soon as I like (I have the patience of a tired toddler who needs a nap most days). Seeing that someone is trying to get into the house via the door or windows would be a terrifying thing to say the least. Has anyone else noticed or seen them doing this? Is there anyone who gives a sense of feeling safer rather than threatened who might be able to help you? No offence glad to read or try to help if I can.

Exactly! I've come to learn that if you can think it, it's possible. I just wish the family would at least hear me out, it kinda hurts my feelings... Ever since my illness started it seems as if nothing I say is ever taken seriously! I know you understand since u have a similar belief. Its a very scary concept for me considering I have all the evidence to back up what I'm saying. Everyone just says I'm crazy and not to pay attention to me. Im also more angry and bitter over this than anything, its consuming me! I keep trying to find loopholes in what I've found, but so far nothing! My patience is on a similar level, even more so because I don't want to b treated like this anymore. The scariest part is the shadows and noises of them trying to get in. No one has seen anything so of course I'm nutty for thinking so. The only person that makes me feel safer is the friend that told me to post this on the forum, but of course she is out of town with her mother for the weekend...... I'm just really afraid they are going to put me back in the hospital. Everyone is acting really weird and its freaking me out..... Thanks so much for listening, it feels good to b able to get it off my chest.

The chances of aliens in this universe reaching us is infinitessimally small. The gap between when a species reaches the ability to travel beyond its solar system (something we cannot yet do) and when it self-destructs (something that many would argue is in the near future) is so small, and the chance that another civilization in another world in this universe is equally developed is even smaller...

However, I do think inter-dimensional bleed through the multiverse can happen. If you imagine a timeline, where numbers that are closer to each other are physically closer on the timeline, that's how dimensions are laid out in the multiverse, but with 4-D spacetime instead of a 1-D timeline. Dimensions that are more similar chronologically and physically are closer to each other, with some points of intersection. Sometimes the intersections are chronologically or geospatially displaced; for example, some "haunted" locations are connected by location but not by time. Small amounts of interdimensional bleed allow some to see "spirits".
A corrupt universe like this one is prone to a lot of intersections, holes, and overlaps, and therefore a lot of interdimensional bleed. Usually what comes through is accidental, but hypothetically a civilization in another dimension could purposely come through... For what reason, I don't know.

In the case of inter-dimensional bleed, I suppose aliens could come through if the point of intersection was connected by time or spacetime, but not connected geospatially. Since there is an infinitely expanding amount of universes, it's not impossible that an alien planet in another universe could have overlap with our own...

There's so much detail in your story , that would require so much evidence. I would suggest you acquaint yourself with the concept of evidence and what constitutes evidence.

WOW! Did you watch that movie, " The Day the Earth Stood Still?" ..because that reminds me of that. Do you think they're trying to tell us something?

This is paranoia. Frankly, if aliens were trying to get into my house I'd let them in the front door and plead my case for why they should take me with them.

By the way, did you ever think that they might be there to help you?

When I was in junior high we watched a video on aliens in my English class. I don't remember why, exactly...

Anyway, the whole thing was terrifying. It was all about abductions and evidence of aliens in the world. I began having sever panic attacks that aliens were coming for me after that. I was afraid to sleep. I would lay in bed and I could hear spaceships landing in my back yard. It was a really scary time in my life that lasted for possibly 6 months or so. I even went on a road trip with my aunt, uncle, and cousins for summer vacation that year and insisted to sit by the window so I could watch the skies and alert them if I saw any sign of alien ships coming after us.

Well, eventually it just kind of went away. Nothing ever happened and I think I just realized the aliens were not after me.

Then, in High School I had a science teacher who was awesome. I told him about the aliens and he said the one thing that has always stuck with me: "there is life on other planets, but if that life is advanced enough to be traveling around the universe, why would they come here? We're a boring, average star compared to all of the other wonders of space that are worth exploring and studying. If they did end up here, it would most likely be just by chance, and the odds of that are tremendous. Human beings are amazing creatures, and we should give ourselves credit for all the wonders of the world."

You bring up alot of good points blackwhithered! When you put it the way you did, it does seem highly unlikely that anything of the sort could happen. I just can't get over the fact that it could happen and it might be right now. I have way too much time to think about these things... Paulycoll, I agree that a lot of evidence is needed, something that's gonna b very hard to prove, even to the point that the family could believe me, but for some reason I have to try! I feel like this is my purpose in life! Resa, I haven't seen this movie, but I'm gonna b sure to look this up, I do believe they are trying to tell us something, I just only hope its not too late for all our sake. If this movie is like what I'm thinking to be true, that would mean someone else thinks this way and that would def make me feel better. The family doesn't even try to understand, its like I'm not there..... nbritton, u really think this is paranoia? I don't feel like I'm paranoid, but then again, would I really know if that were the case? The possibility that they could b here to help has crossed my mind, I really hope that's the case. I just can't get over this feeling that they want to hurt us because of all the things we've done to them. Violence leads to more violence after all. Faerie moon, I really sorry that this happened to u. If u felt anywhere near as scared as I do right now, o can relate completely! I really hope this just goes away like urs did, I just hope its not a complete 6 months before that happens. I don't know how much more of this I can take..... I'm at my wits end with this and I know its causing extra stress for the family which makes me feel like ****.... I'm really taking to heart what ur teacher told you. I hope were seen as boring to aliens, I know I wouldn't want to come here if I were them! I'm really gonna think on this and see where it takes me. It would take more than 2 people to re-populate the earth. In fact it would probably take at least 100 men and women because you need genetic diversity and we have many different races here on earth. Eve didn't just pop out black, white and Asian babies. Not to mention all the different countries here on earth. Also, the likelihood of childbirth complications without advanced medical care leading to death of the Mother and/or child would be a problem in any primitive setting. Repeated incest also causes serious health problems. Repeated incest would have to take place in the case of Adam and Eve. The human race would just not be successful. Just look at many purebred dogs as an example. Your theory makes no sense from a biological point of view.

Hi Lostandconfused I too suffer from paranoid schizophrenia. I'm sorry your family isn't giving you the attention you need. Part of schizophrenia is learning to cope with delusions. I believe you are currently experiencing delusions. A delusion is a system of beliefs that are not supported by facts. As part of the illness, most delusions cause us distress as they feed into our paranoia. Do you have a therapist you can share your thoughts with? Sometimes medication alone does not help and a CBT therapist can talk you through your delusions.

I know it may not be helpful to hear from me but I'm almost certain there are no aliens trying to confront you. Also, I'm pretty certain you are going through an episode of paranoid delusion and that is common with this illness. I hope this helps.

The aliens aren't worried about you knowing too much. Your only evidence is publicly available articles that have been posted on the internet. You don't know more than anyone else.

I suggest reading up on epistemology. That is the study of "how we know what we know".

You are almost certainly hallucinating. You started off with a wild delusion, and your mind is causing the sights and sounds necessary to make the delusion seem real to you. In your delusion, you have special powers or knowledge that puts you at the center of attention of a secret society. In your case, they are aliens. You are confused about whether the aliens are good or evil, but they are powerful nonetheless, and they will kill you for having some power (but not enough power). I don't know what causes this to happen to some people. You should tell a psychiatrist about it.

Your family is acting weird because they are exacerbated with your problem. They wish your problem would just go away, but it won't. You may experience some relief from medication.
