How is everyone doing?

My discharge summary came today, says I have schizophrenia and they have screwed me - putting lies in it and who they going to believe me or Drs and nurses

Going to call the free solicitor on Monday - see if she can get me off this CTO, but it isn't looking good.

CTO is a community treatment order, it means you can only live in the community if you follow certain rules and if you break one they can haul you straight back to hospital. It usually includes taking meds and not going to certain places things like that

They were really harsh to me in the hospital, I think because they thought I was being confrontational - but I made good friends.
I'm happy not to be getting restrained on the floor and dragged around.

The CTO sucks, I can refuse the meds in the community - but not in the hospital, which if I refuse they can send me back for up to 72 hours, basically my nurse said I'm getting the injections whatever

Thanks,

I'm not doing too bad - because I'm happy I'm out the hospital, but I am freaked out about the injection, they are trying to poison me and I can't run from the police forever.

I didn't even think I was being confrontational.

hey guys im at my moms house. i have to leave soon thought cuz she goes to work.

last night we were at a sushi restaurant and this guy stands up and says theres a car on fire outside. i got up and looked and yeah it was on fire. like flames and stuff. not just smoke. my mom called 911. it was crazy and kind of scary cuz i thought it was gonna blow up. but the police came right away and a waitress from the staff extinguished it.

it was a little exciting too

Cool I never knew that. I guess antipsychotics more than just "Numbs you to almost get through the day like normal" like benzos because I think the original reason that benzos were prescribed in the 21st century was to get the brain used to not being anxious so it stays that way.

Yeah there are some studies which suggest that there may be epigenetic changes....ie levels of various proteins change in your brain. There is also the thought that untreated psychosis itself causes damage which may make recovery more difficult. So short term AP use is clearly beneficial but it's the long term use that is very much in question.

Punky this was part of the supplements article I posted but is specific to anxiety...

The amino acid L-theanine reduces state anxiety by increasing alpha activity and stimulating synthesis of γ-aminobutyric acid. Noticeable anxiety reduction is generally achieved within 30 to 40 minutes, and effective dosages range from 200 to 800 mg/d. Preliminary findings suggest that L-theanine may be an effective adjuvant in the management of psychotic disorders. Patients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder were randomized to receive L-theanine or placebo while continuing their antipsychotic medications.21 Patients who received L-theanine experienced moderate reductions in symptoms of psychosis and anxiety, and there were no differences in quality-of-life measures between the groups.

Very interesting article. I love the info you find....
