I posted this on a different thread but I would like to know what these hallucinations would be classified as.I will try to explain the best that I can.I was out with 2 friends of mine and they had to go into the washroom at a store.one is a guy the other is a girl so one went into the mens room and the other one went into the womens room.I hallucinated that the girl went into the mens room and the guy went into the womens room so I was about to open up the door to one and let them know they went into the wrong rooms.but then I saw that I had hallucinated the whole thing and they were both in the right rooms.I am having confusing hallucinations like this very often.and sometimes I hallucinate that someone said something that they never said.example/I thought one friend said hey look at that guy he looks like will ferrell and I agreed saying yes he does but wills hair is more curly.my friend looked at me and said what are you talking about.so I explained what I heard and they said I dont know what your talking about I havent said anything I was just sitting here texting.so now I either think its a new hallucination or I now have the ability to read other peoples minds.the final one is one I havent mentioned yet.I smell weird smells sometimes.like I will smell fruit or perfume or rotten meat or garbage or blood but there is none around.I think sometimes I can smell my own blood or I can smell other peoples blood when there is a blood drive stand or van around I can smell the blood coming from it.

So these are visual and olfactory hallucinations...you can have hallucinations with any of your senses.

Yes unless there was some sort of glitch I could never tell the visuals from life and the olfactory again it was totally real except sometimes it was in a place I should not be smelling it----like the smell of smoke in a non-smoking building or a hamster while I was in the bathroom...

I have smelled cigar smoke in my room before but no one here smokes.its scary sometimes.I feel like I am living in two worlds at once and I am in a constant battle of which world I should be in sometimes I get so confused because I dont know which world is the real one and which one is fantasy.I feel like its a tug of war and I am in the middle and I am being pulled by both worlds.I dont know which world is going to pull me in.

How do I tell which world is which how do I know I am even in the real world right now?what if I am already in the fantasy world?this is a thought that always scares me.

Just wondering though have you had a full medical workup outside of a pdoc---my doc thought I might have temporal lobe epilepsy due to the smell hallucinations which are less common. Albeit he said it was in addition to and not instead of my psych diagnosis...

they took my blood gave me a x-ray and put me through a machine that scanned my head.but they actually never told me the results of any of those tests.

No they never put me through a eeg maybe I should talk this over with my doctor.that would be a good thing to find out.I do have the auditory ones also though along with the other hallucinations frequently they are just all mixed in together.that is why things get so confusing to me because I will be hearing smelling feeling and seeing things sometimes all at the same time that arent actually there.
