Ive had schizophrenia my whole life was only recently diagnosed with it. Ive always been able to live in my head I can excape any situation and turn it into anything i want. I can be anything be with anyone I want. I started taking meds and all that went away and I saw how disgusting and boring the world is. So is it really better to take the meds and live in the same hell as everyne else??

Also perserverence and its many sayings 'never give up' 'dont take no for an answer' are all pretty sound. Sadly though , while psychotic or symptomatic , its nigh on impossible , to use or improve any of these skills. Last edited by Anonymous52334; Sep 13, 2014 at 06:16 AM. |

Depends....if your psychosis is pleasant I can see it but if not the real world can be made quite pleasant. So if you are so high functioning you can keep a job and friends while psychotic I say to for it....if you can't I'd say take the meds and work yourself out of the pit psychosis has landed you in....

Psychosis can be simultaneously pleasant and life-wrecking.
