Ive had schizophrenia my whole life was only recently diagnosed with it. Ive always been able to live in my head I can excape any situation and turn it into anything i want. I can be anything be with anyone I want. I started taking meds and all that went away and I saw how disgusting and boring the world is. So is it really better to take the meds and live in the same hell as everyne else??

You probably heard of sayings like 'life is what you make of it' 'hell is only a state of mind' and inversely people say 'heaven' is the same. I've really found that to be true. Me personally i think life is hard, real hard; but once a person knows that; they can make it work for them by will and luck. Also the research basically backs all this up , lots of studies have being done , that really says , the most successful people do not see themselves as victims of circumstancea , they tend to see themselves more in control of their own lives.

Also perserverence and its many sayings 'never give up' 'dont take no for an answer' are all pretty sound.

Sadly though , while psychotic or symptomatic , its nigh on impossible , to use or improve any of these skills.

Depends....if your psychosis is pleasant I can see it but if not the real world can be made quite pleasant. So if you are so high functioning you can keep a job and friends while psychotic I say to for it....if you can't I'd say take the meds and work yourself out of the pit psychosis has landed you in....

Psychosis can be simultaneously pleasant and life-wrecking.
