McGraw graduated in 1975 from Midwestern State University with a B.A. degree in psychology. He went on to earn an M.A. degree in experimental psychology in 1976, and a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology

but anyway so i was gonna say i watched most the episode with my sister and she was asking me questions during it cause she knows me diagnosis. but after she was like "he doesnt remind me of you" and the guy did make me think of me a little but just a little. but what im trying to say is is that my sister left for college and never moved back home when i started gettig ill and all after that. so shes never seen me during my episodes. shes only heard about them. i think she has a lot to learn about me.

Well schizophrenia can manifest in many different personalities, religion, race, nationalities, and genders so there's that.

I'm just trying to picture a British guy with ghetto trash in the same show. Sounds funny but I sometimes find British shows borning with the exception of a few shows like Supersize vs Superskinny.

I guess that since you two probably have different personalities. culture, and gender the illness can manifest in different ways. You're hallucinations and delusions are going to be different.

Self-injury does not mean you have BPD or any PD. So many clinicians when they discover a client is doing this will automatically assume BPD even if they don't have any other traits. I know this because I experimented with self-injury when I was a teen and got a BPD diagnosis. A patient introduced me to it. This along with my anger (at the bullies), and a adverse reaction to a SSRI caused me hell.

Never seen the US one but the UK one is gas. Not as "entertaining" (I use that word with quotes for a reason) and silly as the likes of Maury and Jerry Springer.

I hear ya, I wasn't really self harming when I first went to the docs and was diagnosed schizoaffective, then I started self harming more so they switched to bpd. This was in the space of a year, don't know how they could change from something so different. Reckon it was solely because of the self harm. You really don't get much help with that diagnosis.

I can't stand Dr Phil. I like hate him. And he's always sending ppl to those residential treatment centers. So many of those are abusive. A family is suing him I guess that he sent their daughter to.

I've gotta go get my scripts and don't want to...Ugh.
