Do you smoke or use NRT?

I mentioned it in roll call but it's said something like 60-90% of sz smoke cigarettes, which is much higher than the general population.

So, if you are a sz or have psychosis, do you smoke or use nicotine replacement products?

When I was psychotic I actually thought about smoking but did not start because they told me not to in the hospital, it interferes with the levels of AP in some cases cutting them in half....

It's funny you mention the connection between the two. When all this started a year and a half ago I was off the smokes for over 4 years. Then when the ambulance driver said: "do you want a smoke before you go in? [to the unit]" I said yes, ever since then I'm smoking more than I ever did. I'm not sz though, just a type of psychosis that I don't really understand.

I am an ex smoker of about 40 - 50 a day. I now 'vape'. I started on e - cigs and now use a phonton. I've stopped for nearly two years. Highly recommended!

That's what I smoked when I was still buying cigs back about 10 years ago. But now I roll my own and they're a lot stronger so I'm not sure what they're equivalent to. A year ago I was buying cigs again and it was down to between 1 and 2 packs a day of store bought cigs. But I don't know what I'm back up to.

I bought a bunch of ecigs but they just aren't the same and they freak me out thinking I'm breathing in water. But I can't keep smoking. I'll die soon.

I smoke rolling tobacco too because it's cheaper. I think I smoke less with that.

I used to prefer Drum rolling Tabacco but I just smoke cigarettes now for ease.

I wish cigs were still cheap and easy to get. I'm sick of rolling.

Yeah or you have a wet bandaid on a finger! I hate it. But it's a lot cheaper than cigs. I hate the way they've increased the cost of smoking. I hate it.

Ah it's crazy, €10 for a box over here. That's about $13 I think. Madness.

I only smoke when I take my ritalin and when I do, I chain smoke. Lots.

I don't have any craving without that dopamine increase from the stimulant.

Here, depending on the brand you get it's only about 5 dollars a pack here. Hell not even that.
