God, I feel so worthless. I hate ADD and whatever else is going on with me. I want my brain back! I'm going to get it back. Take it back. Rebuild myself into what I once was. Even if I die trying.

i just...i cant believe reading some of those student doctors and nurses forums on other sites...they laugh and revel in the fact that they are hand-restraining and chemically restraining patients. and they make even more of the patients that have a schizophrenia diagnosis.

those forums are like that white domination website but in medical form.

its horrible. i honestly HATE the mental health system.

Oh my God, that is so infuriating...what is wrong with people?!

When I was in the hospital, they locked this severely anxious patient out of her room. It was the only place where she felt safe. A case manager also told one of my friends that it was her fault for being in there, because she attempted suicide. As if having depression was her fault.

Psychiatry is so messed up. We're people too, and we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect!

Why read it?---clearly those people have small minds and high ignorance they thrive in a prison-like environment. I know I sometimes dive into stuff like the sister site SDN but those people rarely speak of restraint. I look out of curiosity but also because I may find something useful that will help me in the present or future.

But I can't say I've ever read hate websites before----why do it unless you can respond and educate them?

I just bought an exercise bike. Spending the money was painful, but I need to lose weight and exercise will probably help me focus, so it is probably worth it. I can pick it up from the mall today.

i actually stumbled upon one of them just now looking up stuff about haldol.
so i saw a question about how much is too much on one website. and people were responding and this one person was like "wow thats a lot. you went over my record" and it just kept jeering and poking about how much they like to give. AND THEY SAID THEY WERE GIVING HALDOL INTRAVEINOUSLY. thats extremely dangerous and leads to death. and someone else told someone to make sure to read the hospital policies on giving haldol IV.

i had quit reading them but my dad always has told me (and this goes with anything) thats its important to know that theres STILL people out there who think certain ways or have certain beliefs. he told i dont always have to read stuff online i dont like but to keep educated about how people operate so i know how to protect myself.

this wasnt a hate website. it was a student doctor website. i dont read that KKK website. i used that as an EXAMPLE. i have read it before like once or twice tho. not something i want to read.

Someone sure as hell needs to do something. If we quit being complacent, then maybe they'll notice us. Maybe they'll listen to us.

Though I think there are more effective ways to accomplish this than standing outside the courthouse...I think your letters are a good idea, but unfortunately they probably won't be read.

I don't know what we need to do.

I don't know what we need to do.
then dont stop writing. write as much as you can and tweet these people. call them. call their parties. who they associate with. etc. start a petition. anything. but dont stop. dont stop.

see i would easily lose this. all my ideas. all my drive on meds.

Really what helps your stomach then, is there a home machine or do you have to rely on sit ups etc?

situps and crunches really are the best and they dont require any machine; leglifts similarly. you could also get an exercise ball, just sitting on one rather than a chair greatly improves core strength! Extra points for a pic of you sitting on an exercise ball!

I know in illinois there is an oversight committee made of citizens and doctors that keeps the mental hospitals in check and you can volunteer to be a part of it. I thought about joining it as it's the most direct way to confront the stuff that's going on but it means you have to go into hospitals to investigate complaints and talk to people and that would be too much like being in there again for me. But my point is there may be organizations you can join like mind freedom that can help you accomplish a protest or whatever would be most effective.

I actually had one once but it was too big and in the way so I got rid of it---that was before APs though----I'm much more accommodating now maybe I'll look into it again. Thanks.
