I think Pilates is really good for your core... or learn some Yoga poses. Can probably get DVDs for those if your into that sort of thing...

If you can't afford fitness DVD's one good site for many different types of workout videos is Fitness Blender They are free and you can search by difficulty, body focus, training type, equipment needed, workout time, calories burned, or keyword. They have several pilates and yoga videos.
Thanks for this!

Yeah I have a few yoga dvds I just wasn't sure how effective they are. I'll try to get back into that.

My real name is the top of the second page and I have no power---it's just a page rank algorithm. My user name is intentionally discreet.....

So, I watched Dark Skies last night / this morning.... great film but I need to watch myself. I ended up wondering whether aliens were doing this to me because I had a chip in me & they were playing games with me. I once thought I was abducted with sleep paralysis... maybe I was.

Can be so impressionable with this illness... Lol

Today my tutor tried to tell me to quit smoking. But I don't want to quit. I'll only quit when I'm good and ready. And that's a long time away. I've been hearing voices whispering my name today. So much for getting better. And I have a bad feeling about meeting with the psychiatrist that's going to happen in January. Nothing seems to go right and I don't know what's real anymore.

I could do with gaining 25lbs not losing it...

But yeah, I was tempted to learn some yoga poses anyway for stretching/core. Neil, you ever tried yoga or is it too girly for you... ?

I've been doing some pushups / curls recently & I plan to walk as often as I can. I think keeping active is good for mental health.

I think exercising is crucial to good mental health esp if the latter is failing. obviously many people dont exercise and dont suffer poor mental health but once things become unbalanced exercise is one of the simplest, healthiest ways to help keep things on track. it deals with so many fundamentals: stress, sleep, hormones etc. Im convinced one of the reasons i went off the rails is because my knees gave out and i couldnt exercise intensely which i had always done.

No Loial I havnt gone the full yoga route but i have a long stretching routine that ive always done for sports and its very similar to yoga. now the stretching routine is no longer a prelude to my workout it often is the workout haha.
Thanks for this!

stretching is good for you! As long as your warmed up or it is active stretching... used to do a fair bit when I was going to the gym.

Btw... you need to get an avatar neil!

So the hobbit was really good I enjoyed it had a nice meal too even though the other girl that was meant to come didn't turn up so it was just me and three guys. Saw my mentor today and went shopping for a xmas outfit. Got a nice skirt and top. I have to be creative with my clothes shopping because of my arms. All in all been a good day

Yes, I don't think it would have actually worked as an avatar but it would have been funny...
