Does caffeine make your paranoid thinking worse? I think it has started to make mine worse.... Or could it be the medications I am taking?

I drink at least 2 pots/day. I sure hope to hell it's not making my anxiety/paranoia worse.

I was told by my p-doc to avoid drinking both caffeine & alcohol as they both have the possibility to make symptoms worse but it varies between people.

If it is a problem for you then just go decaf. You will hardly notice the difference from caffeinated if you get a good brand. I went decaf a while ago because of anxiety problems like newtus & I feel so much better for it. It never did seem to make my symptoms any worse though.

I drink coffee from the moment I wake till lunch time, then more caffeine in the form of earl grey tea.
I smoke heavily too, when I stopped smoking and cut down my coffee intake I found my anxiety and agitation far worse and hallucinations were worse.
Since starting smoking again, I sleep better and haven't hallucinated near as much. Dunno if there is any reflection on the habits i had then stopped then restarted that helped me or not though might of just been coincidence.
But yeah I drink caffeine all day and it hasn't made anything worse.

Caffeine is a serious drug and not only with regard to coffee. but black, green, and white teas. Also chocolate. Chocolate is really intense on caffeine.
