Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with schizophrenia 7 years ago. The positive symptoms of hallucination, delusions went away with taking abilify. However, I am still a very awkward individual( or at least i think I am), and I am easily influenced by other people's opinion when it comes to decision making. Most of the times I'm not self-promoting. I regret many life decisions that were made because someone else is more sure than me. I am wondering if these are the negative symptoms of this illness. Because this isn't usually the target of treatment for many drugs. I would like to know if other people are experiencing the same thing as I am, or agreeing that this could be a personality flaw that was enhanced by this illness.what are the coping skills you use?

I am awkward too and I guess I easily let other people make most of the decisions. Especially when it comes to what to do or when to do things. I think I'm like this because I generally don't care much about things anymore. And I let people criticise me in mean or unfounded ways because I know they must feel bad about something for doing it. That may sound like a good quality but it's not. So yes I think it could be because of negative symptoms. And maybe because of cognitive symptoms.

I have problems with disorganized thinking and lack of motivation and volition. It sounds like you're experiencing similar issues.
