Then maybe you should take that into consideration when you offer advice.

There is no language barrier in France, most of them talk English. I never talked a word of French on my school French trip...

Yeah Rome is a great choice too. I've never been but another one high on my list of places to go.

Prague is a good option too. My parents have been & said it is a beautiful city, plus it's not expensive either. Have to brave throngs of tourists though.

chickenfoot, materly said "just get it done". and some other comments that didnt deem to be helpful. perhaps if he didnt put it in such a tone it would have been more helpful. it didnt sound caring but rather he was tired of hearing her say "i lean against my bed all day". she wasnt asking for help either on the specific post he commented on.

if thats someones idea of trying to help, i would think thats very abusive comments.

I've been to Ireland and it was a lovely place to visit. Seeing castles made the long flight worth it. It was amazing.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever get the chance to leave the states again.

France is a very diverse country (unless you're wearing a full burka), I wouldn't be worried. Though it is a horrible horrible place and you must never go there Simba. I've been to Lyon, Paris and Amneville and I'll tell you I didn't enjoy any of those trips. Then again, I've never let other people's opinions deter me from going to a place.

I do think your comments are a little far fetched though, I mean you live in the violence capital of the Western World.... 'Murica!!

I just see it as 'tough love'. It's not nice to hear those things but it's a reality. I get it all the time from everyone around me in real life and it's helped me to get out of feeling sorry for myself and working towards a better future. At least my positivity has improved.

Relax Newtus , 'abusive' is over the top. She has a problem that needs resolving , jobs that need to be done and she needs to get done. She'll feel better. If she does not have extended family to help , then she needs to get an advocate , professional services or whatever. She should also have a social worker.

I would have thought visiting EU Countries where gun laws are so damn strict and violence is nothing compared to the USA would be easier than staying where you are.

Dont tell me that. Tell her.

But "over the top" would be saying something like, oh idk, "Just get it done" to someone on here.

I wasnt talking about guns and violence. I was talking about other countries opinions on black people.

Speaking of guns anyone ever shoot one? My ex and I (when we were together) went to a gun range in Ft. Benning (he's in the army) I shot a 45 I think and then a pistol, it was lots of fun!

Oh ok, soz. I thought you meant violence against minorities. Ideally you shouldn't really care what other people's opinions are, and it shouldn't stop you from travelling. Travelling is just feckin awesome and everyone should do a little bit of it in their lives. You meet so many cool people and see so many cool places. Just brilliant.

Great pics. I've always wanted to shoot a handgun but you have to be in a club to be able to do it here. I used my dad's single barrel shotgun when I was about 13 and leaned to close to the barrell and the kick back from it nearly broke my nose! Good times.

Ill try not to care about other peoples opinions. But every country has a different attitude towards minorities. Yes, on another note I would be worried I would be killed or at the least harrassed in some countries. Especially if I was middle eastern. The USA's opinions are hard enough to live with. With donald trump and the like.

I'm not allowed to own a gun....due to my voluntary hospital stay of 1week I am banned for five years...I will get my right back I think in a year but had it been involuntary it would be a lifelong ban.
