So I have a question... every time that I go to see my pdoc she acts weird. First of all, all my problems started after the traumatic incidents and she thinks it is schizophrenia and not ptsd. I have flashbacks and all kinds of horrible nightmares etc. from the traumatic incident but she says it is schizophrenia blah blah.

So we disagree on that.. but at the end of the session she always says thank you or thank you very much. Why is she thanking me? .. Is it because I am suffering and she is enjoying forcing me to take all these medications etc. and I am sacrificing my freedom for her or something? I find it very weird that she says thank you very much at the end of the session.

Btw I am under involuntary treatment there... it means if I don't take medication she can call the police and police can lock me up in the psych ward.

I would get a second opinion eventually. As long as the medications work for you. She's most likely saying thanks for cooperating during the session or just something to say signal the end of the appointment.

If you're not suicidal or homicidal, you can get a lawyer and it can be sorted out fairly easy depending on where you live, or if the rules are different and involuntary treatment rules are different.
Thanks for this!

I agree with Tweaky. She's probably thanking you for participating.
I think my pnp says thank you too. I'll have to pay more attention next time.

I've had a lot of them say thank you. Really, a lot of them are thankful when they have patients who act respectful towards them and aren't yelling at them or fighting every step of the way.

I hope you manage to get to an agreement with your treatment team soon. It can be really distressing having someone labeling you with something that can be such a stigmatising diagnosis, especially when you don't buy into it. Getting the right treatment for your condition should be first priority, irrespective of the diagnosis.

You are right. But I wanna switch pdocs but I am afraid I might offend my current pdoc.

I am hypersensitive that way and thinking about people's feelings consumes me much. But I've seen a pdoc on that floor that seems very quiet and mild-mannered so I might go with him.. but again I don't know what they will say or might say or even agree to do the switching at all and also what might my pdoc would say or get offended. so yeah
Thanks for this!
