I renewed my driver's license last year, but I don't own a car. If I have to hire a lawyer to escape these soft jails I don't know if I'll ever be able to buy a car. I think if I did have one I'd be a lot healthier because I'd be free to come and go as I please.

I had a good day. Spent it with my boyfriend/ex. We are going shopping tomorrow because I absolutely hate going shopping alone.

They made me take both since I've been here, except for the days they didn't bring me either. This place is a nightmare. I want to go home so much.

Pramipexole (generic) works well for RLS. I take it every night about 30-40 minutes before bed. It can be caused by meds and/or low iron

I saw my pdoc today and told her all my hallucinations everything and she basically said their is clients that of hers do very well on 40mgs of abilify. I protested and said lets try something different like Latuda, Saphris or some thing else its not working this drug has just made me feel dreadful, I am nausea all day long and I am only getting 4-5hours a night. She basically realigned my meds to something like 3mg of Abilify in the morning and 2mgs @5pm how am I suppose to remember to take my abilify at 5pm I can barely remember to take bedtime meds at bedtime.

Thanks for this.

Does your pdoc have to sign the form too? I imagine on a 1 year license, car insurance would cost a lot?

Funnily enough, I actually found that link you posted after I posted. I've searched a few times before and not found much, but this time I searched for professional guidance. It seems you can't drive during "acute illness", and you can drive after 3m of being "stable", though they don't specify what that actually means in reality. Sounds like it's up to your pdoc to decide :/ Plus you have to comply with an "agreed treatment plan", which doesn't technically have to include meds if you can convince your pdoc that you're ok without them. And you can drive even if you have ongoing symptoms, as long as they don't think it interferes with your driving...

What concerns me is the arbitrariness of it all. A pdoc decides if I can drive or not, having never seen me drive! Psychiatry has so much power already! No wonder they assume that everyone is lying to them the whole time because the profession actively drives it by being so punitive ie locking you up even when they agree you're not a risk anymore, forcing meds any time they feel like it, taking your license away... Ugh! :/

Thanks for the info Unsure and Justme! It really helped.

Good morning! At school. Left early yesterday because I didn't feel good. Got two classes today. I did go grocery shopping. Got a lot of healthy food. Trying not to waste money on junk food. I hope everyone is doing okay. Today will be a long day for me.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all having a good day.
I have nothing going on today. Just laundry. It's rainy and dreary again today. I need the sun. This depressing weather has got to go.

That's scary. I drove while I was psychotic. Probably not my brightest idea since I thought I was being followed. But now I'm fine and I can't imagine losing my license because I used to be psychotic. No wonder people with mental illness can't seem to get ahead.

I read a study that exercise is supposed to help symptoms of psychosis by helping improve brain function especially amongst young people (18-35).

Quite interesting and makes me feel better. I know exercising makes me feel great overall but I never thought about it with regards to psychosis.

Maybe someone had mentioned it before and I forgot sorry but I just stumbled upon the article.
Thanks for this!
