Anyway. Yay I'm glad she heard it too.
Thanks. Yes, the not knowing if it was real or not was what was bothering me about it. I kept trying to ignore it, but my brain insisted on trying to figure it out. The spiders are way worse because they freak me out as I hate spiders, but I can tell very quickly if they are real or not. It's the uncertainty that does me in.

Thanks. Me too! Now I know for sure next time it happens.

I said to my parents today "if I told you there was an invisible speaker in my ceiling, would you think I was crazy?" And the answer was "unequivocally yes!" So I'm glad I got that sorted out. Hopefully maintenance will come soon to fix it.

Sorry that you're having a crappy day, but good for you for getting on with things regardless. Oftentimes that can help improve things. Hope you feel better soon

PS: I don't know if you saw my reply about the dvla the other day. I was wondering why they took your license off you and for how long? I'm worried that they will take mine too if they find out about the stupid sz diagnosis

Psych: "You e have the eschquizofreenia"

Me: "Oh ok.."

Psych: "This illness is forever"

Me: "Ok.."

I don't disagree it was obvious enough but why do I always agree with psychiatrists on everything they say..

Psych: "I will stop your stimulant 7x"

Me: "Oh.. Ok.. 7x"

Thanks willow. Oh sorry no I didn't see it. My psychiatrist told me I have to inform the dvla and they told me I have to be stable for 3 months before they will issue me a license again. No one had said anything before, I think it's a fairly new rule. You have to be stable on a medication regime for 3 months.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it.

No one has ever officially told me to inform the dvla and, when I learnt you were supposed to, I was back at my parents and the pdocs all said I was making it up so I had no diagnosis to disclose. Then came the sz diagnosis and I don't see why I should lose my license for a diagnosis that isn't even correct?! And what is "stable" even supposed to mean?? If it means no 'symptoms' well then I'd NEVER be allowed to drive!! And what about people with a sz diagnosis who have no symptoms anymore and so aren't on meds?! Does your pdoc have to sign to say that you are 'stable' for them to give it back?

*sigh* I will have to figure all of this out before I start driving again (personally I don't see any reason why I can't drive at the moment, I just cba to right now and my Mum is around to drive me places. But when she leaves, I will have to start driving again.) I just don't want to ask my pdoc in case he says I need to tell them so they can suspend my license. Can you phone the dvla anonymously to find out what the rules are?!

The DVLA took my license for a year because I was originally diagnosed with drug induced psychosis. My psychiatrist said I had to inform them and if I didn't he would. Now that ive been diagnosed with schizophrenia I'm on a 1 year license that gets renewed after I fill in forms towards the end of the year (that they send out). I don't know if I'll be on a 1 year rolling license for the rest of my life. I hope not...

They took it away for a year because of the drug use even though I hadn't touched any for like a year. One of the questions that I had to answer was had I taken any illegal drugs in the last 3 years. I said yes because they would find out anyway from my care plan. But they punished me for drug misuse. Mental health wise , I think you have to be symptom free for 3 or 4 months to be able to get your license.

I hate the way that "mental illness" gets censored these days
The minute you say something that people assume is from a mental illness, they try to shut you up right away so you don't talk aboutit
