I think an average frequency people go to T is once per week, or every other week. Some people may go more or less depending on need, and on their therapy program. It is likely your T will recommend a frequency that he/she feels meets your need. You may also need to meet guidelines set by your insurance. They may only authorize payment for x number of visits per month/quarter/year or so forth.

I hope T will work out well for you.

It really depends on who's paying for it and, if it's available to you, how much you feel you need it.

Here in the UK, most people with sz don't get therapy at all on the NHS and, if they do, it's usually short term CBT say for 3 to possibly 6 (if you're very lucky) months, which starts weekly and tapers off to fortnightly and then monthly. But the CBT is usually for young people who manage to get into early intervention teams, which only exist in certain areas.

But I think that most people who go to therapy for whatever reason go weekly.
