I think I'm starting to feel tired. I've been wired all day. I don't know really I'll probably sleep very little tonight.

That's a good sign that your getting tired. Usually manic episodes are wrought with sleepless nights. 12AM will tell you.

I know I've had episodes before (off meds) with being super hyper and running off like 3 hrs of sleep. For a period I did it allll the time and that 2 or 3 or 4 hours was always enough.

I've gone days without sleep, sure, but there was always a level of tiredness with it so idk. It's weird.
Thanks for this!

Speaking of manic I would normally be in bed half an hour ago......hmmm, too much going on today with the pdoc visit I think....she actually expressed concern over my sleep and she said it's a problem whether it's intentional or not.

When I was at peak psychosis I would sleep around two hours because the voices would keep chatting away at full volume every time I tried to nod off. I wasn't at all tired though.....

For me, the first sign of a manic episode is my sleep going out the window. I will start to operate on 2 - 3 hours of sleep.
Thanks for this!

Have you tried meds for sleep? Just wondering because I tried seroquel for that once and it didn't make a dent.

No, it doesn't mean anything. I think I just looked around the room and saw some Glad products and Bandaids and it sort of got mashed together hahaha.

I currently take Ambien for sleep, it helps most of the time, but it's not a 100% solution.

Hmmm maybe it's because it's always? I mean for me I went a month with 2 hrs then another couple months with 4-6 then to 8 which was nice, now I'm back to my "normal" ten sigh.
