So what books are everyone reading? Recommend something and give a brief reason why.
They could be books on schizophrenia or fiction. Id like to hear about what you guys read and pick up. I just listened to the audiobook Wise Man's Fear. That's the second book in a 3 part trilogy. The last book hasn't been written. The first book in the series, titled The Name of the Wind, turned out to be one of my favorite books. Books with genius protagonists are the best i think. I love to read how their minds work. It's a charming fantasy novel about a coming of age genius who goes on adventure and learns the mysteries of magic and fighting to avenge his family. I love the love story involved. It's unlike any other i encountered. My friend Jill didn't like it though. She has opinions of the young woman. lol It's rather complex. SP, i thought the tale with the kathar (spelling?) was interesting. The being who lives amongst the fairies who all is guarded from. Bast thinks they are the worst creature(s?). How it messes with one's fate. Makes me scratch my head how it can turn out. Hopefully i didn't spoil anything. I tried to be vague. |

Right now I'm also giving Star Wars Revan a turn to read. Its a short book and reads very much like a teenager book. It's filled with imagery and not very much actual content and philosophy. I just don't get it. Star *****s has so much potential for philosophy yet they drag it through the mud with adolescent action. sigh. I really hope The Last Jedi turns up something new because Star Wars really hasn't been mind bending.
Star Wars Revan Takes place after the game, Knights of the Old Republic II. He was a character in the first KotoR game. I'm not sure if i will finish this book... Ill read it for another hour and decide then. |

How do you like audible? Do you use it on your phone? Audiobooks seem so expensive... so i use bit torrent and steal them. Half the time i already have the book and just dont' have time away from work to read it so i listen to it at work. God i'm awful.
Irony: I downloaded so many ethics courses illegally from bit torrent that i got a warning from thegreatcourses.com to stop immediately. lol Heyoooo! Windows phone has audible. I wish there was a monthly subscription fee to listen to as many books a month as you want. I'd buy that for sure if i could use it on my phone. As soon as monthly subscriptions for music started i stopped downloaded music illegally. |

The book god great reviews in volumes. Maybe if you listen to some instrumental with warm cup of coffee in the library you will be able to get into it. Add a little bailies to the coffee if that helps. It helps me.

That's how I first felt about Wise Men's Fear. That's how I feel about a lot of media actually. The first Matrix was the best. Ender's game was the best, Part 1 of Faust was the best, but there are so many exceptions. I thought Harry Potter just kept on getting better and better. It got so dark towards the end. I loved it.
